I am a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for me to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites. Read my full disclosure policy here.

Today I am partnering with Zonderkidz for a fun giveaway!

Our family has been long time fans of The Berenstain Bears.  And when I say long time, I mean 30 years ago I used to borrow as many Berenstain Bear books as they’d let me from my local library.  Mr. B. grew up with this sweet series as well.  We pretty much learned everything we needed to know about life from Mama, Papa, Brother and Sister Bear.  For example, sometimes it is a good idea to take a break from TV and also what to do when you get a bad case of the “gimmies.”. 🙂

As soon as my boys were ready, I began reading The Berenstain Bears to them and now they love them too.

When Zonderkidz reached out to me and asked if I could help them spread the word about The Berenstain Bears and the Easter Story, I had to say yes!  With Easter just a few weeks away, this is the perfect time to plant seeds of the Gospel in our kiddos and I love finding fun and creative ways that help me do that.

The Berenstain Bears and the Easter Story is about how Brother and Sister Bear are a little too focused on candy as the Easter celebration approaches, but their Sunday School teacher, Missus Ursula, tells them the Gospel and helps them see that Easter is about so much more.

One of the main reasons we love The Berenstain Bears so much is that they address real life issues that kids face.  Case in point – the struggle to not get swept away in the candy/bunny/egg part of Easter, but to be mindful of the true reason why we celebrate.  That struggle is REAL and I want to help shepherd my boys’ hearts toward truth.

My boys loved the colorful illustrations and there was even a set of matching story stickers in the back of the book to help young ones retell the story.

I know YOUR kiddos will love this book too!

And today you get a chance to win your very own copy of The Berenstain Bears and the Easter Story!

But wait — there’s more!  Zonderkidz is also offering a $50 Shutterfly code so that you can order all of your family Easter photos!

One (1) winner receives:

  • copy of The Berenstain Bears and the Easter Story
  • plus a $50 Shutterfly code to order family Easter photos with all the generations!

How to Enter >>

Simply leave a comment below sharing WHY you would love to win this fun giveaway!  If you have any stories of how the Berenstain Bears have been a part of YOUR life – we would love to hear about it!

Open to US addresses only.  Prizing and samples provided by Zonderkidz.  Giveaway will run from Monday, March 19 – Friday, March 23 at 11:59 pm.

I can’t wait to read your comments!

Joyfully,

Julie

Hi! I would love to win this book for my boys! I spent 4 years of my childhood in the States and that’s where I got into the Berenstein Bear books. I loved them as a young and older child. I read the copies of my Berenstein Bear books to my kids, and have also got lots of the more recent titles for them. We don’t live in an English speaking country and so having books like these are just so lovely -especially ones that share the traditions from my childhood!

What a super giveaway! I love the Berenstain Bears too! Had such a bit collection as a kid and love reading them to Kate now! My favorite one is the Messy Room! That story encouraged me, and still does, to change my very messy room into a nice and organized one! ☺️

Growing up I too have fond memories of the Berenstain Bears books. My Mom would read them to my brother and me. We enjoyed the pictures, and the mischief that Brother and Sister Bear would get into. Fast forwarding to the present, Like my Mom, I enjoy reading these books and many others to my son and daughter. I especially appreciate books like these that hold Christian values. As the world sways away from the Truth and what is right, I want my kids to know the Truth and learn the difference between what’s right and wrong, so they can make a difference in the world. I would so much appreciate winning this Easter Book because it will help to reinforce what we want our kids to know and understand about this most important celebration time!! Thank you for your blog! And Happy Easter!! 😊

When I was a kid my neighbor had the whole collection of BB books. I would spend hours at their house looking through each one. I guess you could say it was my first taste of real jealously! I still love the simple lessons it teaches my children. I’d love to win and share the Gospel in another way with my kids!

Hey there, I’ve really enjoyed your posts and can’t speak of your site highly enough, especially around the holidays when my two boys and nephew find it easy to be distracted, naturally, by some of the fun but trivial parts. We still use your toddler resurrection egg prompts, and we’ll be doing the scavenger hunt and Easter Story snack this year, too! This book seems an excellent way to share the Easter Story with the kiddos! Thank you for your ministry! 🙂

My kids grew up reading about the Berenstain Bears as well and loved them and learned from the stories. My daughter and her husband are now fostering 3 children and I know these books would be an asset to their home to help teach these kids from drug-addicted parents/homes about Jesus and the gift He offers them for salvation and eternal life. I absolutely love this book! My daughter is now 11 years old. I have always loved the Berenstain Bears, so I made sure that I read the books to her. They teach morals, but in a language that a child can relate to. Every day after school my daughter comes home and plays school. I know it’s weird, but she dreams of being a teacher one day. She actually will read the Berenstain Bears books to her imaginary class. She discusses the lessons in friendship and kindness with her imaginary students. Last year we gave a couple copies of this book to her teachers at school. My daughter goes to a Christian School. She has a chapel buddy that is in kindergarten. He would love this book. She would love to gift it to him. She could read the Easter Story to him and pass her live for these books to him. As far as the Shutterfly gift we would like to gift it to her math teacher. Her husband is losing his battle with cancer. They have two young children in preschool and kindergarten. I can’t think of a better way to capture their precious time together for the family to have and look back at for years to come.

Thank you for having this give away! I love reading your FB posts and emails. I’ve shared them with so many people. Many blessings to you and your family. Oh and congratulations on your recent family news! How exciting!

This would be awesome for my little Sunday school class. Normally on Easter morning when they come in class they are talking about what the Easter Bunny has left them, some are even carrying a stuffed Easter bunny. As adults Sunday school teachers of 3 and 4 year olds you can just about expect anything to be brought in or told. :).

I had no idea the stories provided such great moral lessons and now I’m falling in love with them all over again. Since then, she has read more Berenstain books and has even watched the show, We love how the stories relate to family experiences and touch base on other common issues. We would love to add this book to our collection, especially since it touches on the real reason behind Easter.

What a wonderful gift for Easter. Our three children grew up reading these special stories and our 2 grandchildren have inherited the collection and enjoy them as well. The Easter story would be a welcome addition to our collection. THANK YOU!

I love Bernstein Bears books! I purchased many and borrowed the rest from the library when my children were small. I would love the book to help share the Easter story with my grandchildren, the Preschoolers I teach every day, and my Sunday School class. Many of these children will only hear the true lesson from me so something fun like this book would really help!

Instead of candy, we do gift baskets full of Bible study materials for our kids on Easter. My son is obsessed with the Berenstain Bears and this would be a great addition to his Bible basket! My dad actually saved all of my Berenstain Bears books from childhood and we’ve been reading them together.

Would love to have this book to donate to the book collection we are doing at our church for our missionaries in Portugal. They use children’s books to teach English to adults and children. They also have a place called “Park Place” where they are trying to reach their community and neighbors for Christ. A great ministry !!!!!!!

I would also like the added opportunity to encourage my new little reader’s mind and heart to God’s word in both Biblical and biblically creative contexts. as an added bonus, He and his little sister are both growing as fond of The Barenstin Bear stories as I was as a child and I love the fact that these moral lessons/stories and characters are still so easily accessible for our families in these crazy mixed up times we live in.

Our cherished Berenstein Bears’s books are mostly all stapled together and really ragged looking, but none of my six kids would part with them!! I love that they teach Biblical character lessons in an engaging and relatable way. My personal favorites are “Too Much Stuff” and “Too Much Junk Food”. I grew up on Berenstain Bear books myself and have always liked them. I hadn’t heard of this Easter one they have out, but I’m so glad they do, because they have another Easter book that focuses on new life, like baby birds, but mentions nothing about Christ. I thought the authors were maybe not Christian, but apparently they are! Or at least are supporting those of us who are. Anyway, I’d love to add this book to our collection to help my girls remember why we celebrate Easter, as well as print off some family photos for our home. Thank you!

I am part of a small church in a very urban setting. I have about 20 kids weekly in Sunday school, ranging from four to 18…The younger children I am always looking for material to teach them the love of Jesus, I have also been a reader of the Berenstein Bears since I was a young child my mother was a reading teacher. I have passed this love down to my four kids, and this includes my twin set of boys! I am very blessed and would love to share this blessing with a lot of kids that are getting an hour in the Lord every week.

I have had a love for the Bearinstan Bears books for as long as I can remember. I was pretty close to having & reading most of the books & I have passed them on to my children, which my 7 year old also has a love for reading & always has.🥰 while pregnant with my children I read to them all while they were in my tummy! • We got fancy last night for our neighbor’s wedding. ‍♂️The wedding was about an hour drive away, so we had lots of time for car conversations without kids. This usually means that I vomit all the stuff I have been trying to process on my own and Ryan swoops in with a few ultra wise one-liners that talk me off the ledge.
