What Others Are Saying about

The Kindness Antennae…

jodi

“The concept of random acts of kindness has been embraced and adored by many. Never have I seen it broken down and simplified with practical ideas to bless ALL relationships through kindness. I have been encouraged and inspired to keep my “kindness antennas” more aware and active through the reading of Julie’s book.”

– Jodi Durr, Meaningful Mama

polly“It is obvious from the beginning of the book that Julie’s heart has been poured out onto the pages. Her passion for loving people around her is contagious and the practical tips she offers at the end of each chapter make the high calling of kindness seem approachable. I am thrilled that she has written this book and am even more thrilled to one day see the eternal impact it has had on our world.”

– Polly Conner, Thriving Home

lori“What a delightful collection of stories and ideas for serving others in kindness! The value of this book is only bested by Julie’s lovely humor (my sides hurt).”

– Lori Byerly, The Generous Wife

“The Kindness Antennae is full of great ideas to help teach kindness to our children (and remember to be kind ourselves). Julie beautifully weaves so much grace and love into her words while inspiring moms to show the love of Christ in tangible ways. Her ideas asarahre affordable and easy to implement. You will finish the book excited to serve others and live with greater intention towards those around you. I highly recommend The Kindness Antennae!”

– Sarah Williams, Six Williams

“Inspirational, Encouraging, Motivating… a must read! The Kindness Antennae is a lighthearted, uplifting book full of encouragement, creative acts of kindness, and short amusing stories. Throughout Happy Home Fairy’s novel, I felt I was sitting beside Julie in a coffee shop, sharing conversation, supporting one another in love, and creating a six-pack of abs through some serious laughter. Ladies, skip the gym and head to the coffee shop! The Kindness Antennae will leave you feeling inspired and with a list of creative ideas to produce bountiful fruits of grace, love, compassion, and kindness in your homes! This little book reminded me of Galatians 6:10 – ‘Therefore, as we have opportunity (and we always do), let us do good to all people!'”ashley

– Ashley Langston, Frugal Coupon Living

“The Kindness Antennae is a gentle reminder of what loving others can look like. It’s not in major, earth shattering events most of the time, but in small mundane moments of life that are easily overlooked. Thank you, Julie, for providing a practical and encouraging message of how to share kindness with others that starts with remembering the kindness Jesus first showed us. And thank you for sharing your real life, entertaining stories that make me feel quite normal.”

– Jenna Braddock, Make Healthy Easy

“This is the book I wish I had written.”

– Mother Teresa 🙂

Also me trying to use my limited photo editing skills to blur out our house number - can you tell? I will joyfully live in the land of imperfection, though, because it points us all to the only One who truly is perfect and accomplished what the little garden flag behind me celebrates! Also also >> give me all the jumpsuits. This one is called The Welling Button Jumpsuit from @roolee. It’s like wearing jams

  • Favorite Moments from ✨Easter 2021✨ >> Easter basket scavenger hunt success at 6:00 am. Church was the fullest it’s been in over a year. Singing “He is Worthy” and the lights in the worship center brightening as the song reached the best part. Zion walking around with his new stuffed bunny, “Ribbit”, from Grammie. Sitting outside with family while the kids looked for eggs filled with chocolates and coins. Changing out of my Easter dress into a sweatshirt and leggings. Not sure if the kids only ate Easter candy for meals today. Getting a family photo! No one is picking

  • I forget the tooth fairy almost every time. I cut out the lunch box notes but forget to put them in the pails. I leave laundry in the washing machine until it needs to be washed again. I could have made the chicken and broccoli sheet pan recipe for dinner but ended up ordering pizza. Praise God that He fills in the gaps of all my good intentions. I don’t do everything perfectly but I can invite Him into everything. Instead of wallowing in my shortcomings, He says to acknowledge Him in all of our ways and He will make

  • Quite possibly the best thing about ✨Disney✨ was experiencing it through Zion’s eyes! Whenever he would get excited about something he could not wait to share his joy with others. A monorail would drive by and he would light up and say “choo choo!” Then he would run to each member of the family repeating “choo choo!” until we responded with the same excitement. Looking ahead to Easter and this made me think how the believer’s “choo choo” is the resurrection of Christ! Like Mary was instructed in the garden to “Go!” and tell others about what she saw, we

  • Jethro was playfully chasing Zion around the house, but somewhere along the way it started to scare Zion. As a result, Zion would run into the kitchen to find me saying, “I need up!” over and over so that I could lift him into my arms for safety and comfort. ✨ The whole scene played in my mind for the rest of the day as I thought of all the things that chase after me throughout the day to make me fearful, anxious, or despairing. Like Zion running to me, I can run to Jesus and say my own version
