I love putting together Easter baskets for my boys.
Sometimes I struggle, though, with the idea of filling up their Easter baskets with a bunch of items that will either break, get forgotten in 2 seconds, or just add more clutter to our house — right?! I purge our home all the time, but it seems like the toys and kid things in our home multiply faster than bunnies.
So I try to be intentional with this opportunity to point my kiddos to Christ! He is what Easter is all about anyway, so the things we put in their baskets can be a reflection of that.
Here are a few amazing new products that I have found to be wonderful resources to teach my kiddos about Jesus. They would all make great additions to your child’s Easter basket this year!
Christ-Centered DVDs
The What’s In The Bible? Series
I cannot say enough wonderful praises about this DVD series featuring Buck Denver and his buddies (all super funny puppets). What’s In The Bible? is the most engaging, hilarious, and educational overview of the Bible I have ever seen. From Genesis to Revelation, each DVD in the 13-part series focuses on various aspects, stories, and theological points that will have your kids understanding the Bible in a way you never dreamed possible! Just the other day my son asked a question about a Bible story and his older brother answered without missing a beat. I knew I had not taught him that particular part of the Bible before, so I asked him how he knew the answer and he responded, “Buck Denver!”
You can grab the first DVD in the series HERE or you can grab the entire series for just $99 HERE.
Worship Music DVDs for Kids
I absolutely love filling our home with worship music and my kids love to watch TV, so this is the perfect blend of both worlds! Bethel Kids came out with an incredible album featuring a CD and DVD companion. The DVD has each song performed in a gorgeous music video that my kids love to watch over and over again. In fact, a few weeks ago we had church at home and the boys led worship for us using this DVD!
My kids also love the Crazy Noise Worship DVD from Hillsong Kids HERE.
Owlegories DVD Series
This series was new to us this year and my boys really liked it! Each video has 3 shorter videos that share an important lesson about God and His creation.
You can find the Owlegories DVDs HERE.

Bibles for Kids
I am OBSESSED with children’s Bibles! You just can’t stop me when I find a new one! I am very passionate about bringing my children the Word of God, so finding children’s Bibles that share the Gospel well is so important to me! I am especially fond of Bibles that keep the bigger picture of Jesus in mind in each story. He really is the thread carefully and beautifully woven through it all.

What do you think?
Add a chocolate cross and an empty egg to remember the empty tomb of Christ and what a worship-inspiring basket you will have!
Let me know if any of these ideas resonate with you as you prepare to celebrate with your families this Easter.
Joyfully,
Julie 🙂

Great ideas! Thank you! I picked up the New Boys CDs for my girls who love to sing and dance and I got a couple new Adventures in Odyssey CDs for my boys who love to listen to their stories for my kids baskets. I always get a new bathing suit and new spring PJs to roll up and put in their baskets too. 🙂
