Hello? Is there anyone still out there reading my blog? π It has felt like an eternity since I have sat down to create and write. Summer is always a time where I like to power down, disconnect, and let my brain unclog from the school year stress.
But as soon as the school supplies start showing up in stores, my imagination gets cranked back on and I can’t sleep at night! It’s not just the baby keeping me up these days – it’s visions of crayon boxes and Expo markers dancing in my head!
I finally pulled out my paper and colored pencils yesterday and sketched out these adorable inspirational lunchbox notes for you. Then I started making dinner – which basically was me putting multiple rows of chicken nuggets on a foil-lined cookie sheet (because I didn’t want to have to do any more dishes than necessary). After that I worked on the laundry – which basically was me hanging a bunch of wet clothes on the back of our kitchen chairs to dry.
At that point, one of the boys burst into the kitchen to eat his nuggets and without thinking yanked one of the wet shirts off of the chair and tossed it onto the table – right on top of this printable that I had just spent an hour creating.
Things that went through my head – don’t freak out. Be cool. It was an accident. You love your child.
Other things that went through my head – you haven’t blogged in FOREVER and now your latest blog material is RUINED. You will probably never blog again. Happy Home Fairy’s fate is doomed. Laundry throwing son is banished to the backyard and you therapy eat all of his nuggets while mumbling about how nothing in a house full of kids is sacred.
Turns out I was able to leave the wet page out near an air conditioning vent and it dried right up. I don’t get dramatic about things or whatever.
So I told you all that because I wanted you to be aware of the spiritual warfare surrounding the creation of these printable inspirational lunchbox notes – ha! Perhaps these little cards are going to really work Holy Spirit wonders in someone’s heart this back to school season. And maybe that someone is you! Maybe you need to be reminded that Jesus will guide you in the “write” way.
Even if your kids ruin all of your things. π

I’m still here! ππ½ββοΈ Thank you for this post. In the midst of all the parents posting back-to-school perfection, you’re being real! It’s refreshing. Keep it pushing, girl, God’s speaking through you. Combat those lies with His truth/Word, grace, and peace. The internet is less of a priority than faithfully serving your husband and children – and itty bitties require a lot from you. This season will end and we’ll still be here. Thanks for sharing ππ€
