The principal at the school where I work recently found out that her 2-year-old granddaughter has leukemia.
It was a shocking report for everyone.
And we are all scrambling to do what we can to lighten this sweet family’s load.
A Take Them A Meal email was sent out and I instantly signed up because bringing a meal is one of the simplest and most tangible ways to show love and support in a difficult time.
Do you remember what my fridge looked like when Happy Baby was in the hospital? Every day that fridge reminded me of JESUS!
I cooked up a big batch of my Taco Soup and added a bag of blue corn chips, fruit, shredded cheese, and Publix bakery cookies – then covered it all in the inspiring Word of God. 🙂
Because one small way you can make meal-giving even more meaningful is to personalize each item with your favorite Scripture verses.
I prayed over everything while I put it together.
And I hope that somehow this small provision helps them to taste and see that God is good – even now.

Amen and amen and amen! God uses our words and our service and kindness, but there’s nothing so life-sustaining, encouraging and peace-giving as HIS Word.

I give taco soup away as well. It’s easy and people enjoy it. I never thought of the verses and to pray. Another great idea! Thanks.
