Our precious little Happy Baby turned into the Happy TODDLER this week!
We celebrated his 2nd birthday with his latest obsession – Minions.
This lil’ guy doesn’t say much, but one of the first words out of his mouth every. single. morning. is, “Nin-ion!”
And we then have to race to the living room to watch them in action in the movie, Despicable Me 2.
We had a great day praising God for the great work He has done in our Happy Baby and partying Minion-style.
We had Minion party bags made from yellow treat sacks, THESE FREE PRINTABLE Minion Goggles, and a Sharpie marker.
Each bag had some Minion stickers, Minion fruit snacks I found at the grocery store, and some Minion band-aids.
I made these Minion cups using yellow paper cups, a googly eye, and a Sharpie marker.
The Happy Hubby hid these two little plush Minions around the house.
One was taking a tinkle.
And the other was hanging from our ceiling air conditioning vent – he had drank some of Dr. Nefario’s gravity serum. 🙂
This giant Minion door was definitely my favorite thing.
We made it using plastic tablecloths and poster board.
For food, we had snacks, bananas (of course), and some Cookie Robots (made from a cut up wire hanger and a pen cap).
My mom made this awesome, show-stopping Minion Fruit Head.
We played Pin the Goggles on the Minion.
And we had the movie playing throughout the party.
I wanted the Happy Baby to look like a Minion, so my mom bought him a yellow shirt and a pair of Osh Kosh overalls.
I thought it did the trick!
We ate Minion Cupcakes (tutorial HERE).
The Happy Baby loved having everyone sing to him.
And he blew those candles out all by himself.
Take that, hypotonia! Woo!
All of our guests got to take home a goody bag and a Minion Easter egg (tutorial coming) with a special message inside.
The only thing we didn’t do was photocopy our bottoms!
It was a great morning.
And thankfully, no evil purple minions showed up.
Happy Minion Party-ing! 🙂
