I’m pretty sure that someone very dear to my heart was reading my blog the other day…
Because after reading the comments I wrote on my therapeutic chocolate indulgences…
These two bags were swiftly delivered into my hands.
OHHHH dear friends.
Have you ever heard of People Chow?
It’s as close to heaven as crunchy chocolate snacks get.
People Chow
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 12 cups Rice Chex cereal (or anything crunchy)
Directions:
1. Melt butter, chocolate chips, and peanut butter on low heat.
2. Mix in crunchy stuff.
3. Pour mixture into a brown paper bag.
4. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and shake it, shake it, shake it.
5. Put in the freezer until hard.
6. Eat and enjoy!!!
I guarantee that if you are going through a tough time, this stuff will help take the edge off – at least a little bit.
Now I am off to take one of my giant People Chow Ziplocs with me to the hospital to share with the nurses.
It’s dangerous having too much of it around. 🙂
Happy People Chow-ing!

Awww man, & I worked LAST night, gonna miss the chow!! 🙁 let me tell u how HARD it was only getting to “see” Jet but not hold him. He looked at me with those eyes that just said, “please just take this thing out of my nose & hold me!!” All I could do was hold his paci in for him & keep his music going. It took all my strength not to just pick him up!! His nurse was great though. She made him comfortable & swaddled him, then he relaxed & fell asleep! Don’t think I didn’t keep checking on him the entire night!! 🙂 <3 u
So glad u & my fellow co-workers r enjoying the chow!! & to your other sweet angel friend, he loves the mobile!!

This sounds so yummy, and a perfect snack for me to make for my girls!
Peggy
I so needed this reminder today. We’ve recently had some new family house guests move in with us. It has been trying for me and I’ve had to bite my tongue so many times to the point I am just tired. It is this time I should be moving and acting in His strength. What a perfect reminder. Thank you.
Happy Home Fairy
Peggy, what a precious, teachable heart you have! I will say a prayer that it gets easier… 🙂
