My kids loved this little game!
I found this idea from PreK and K Sharing and thought it was just too cute.
It kind of reminded me of the Where Is Pumpkin? Game we did last month (see that one HERE).
I printed out several copies of THIS HOUSE COLORING PAGE on different colored paper.
I cut out the houses and hung them on our magnet wall.
I also printed out a cute little turkey (I got mine from THIS INCREDIBLE SITE) and stuck a magnet on the back.
Here is how the game works –
Have the children close their eyes (not an easy task with 2 year olds – ahem).
While their eyes are closed, hide the turkey under one of the houses.
Then tell everyone to open their eyes and sing this song.
“Turkey, Turkey, Come out and play
What color house are you in today?”
Pick one student to come up and tell you which color house the turkey is hiding under. After they have said the color, then they can lift the house and peek to see if they are right!
Play the game over and over again!
My kids loved it. I hope yours do, too!
Joyfully,
Julie 🙂
*Here is another wonderful game for preschoolers that focuses on colors AND shapes!
