Summertime means STRAWBERRIES!
When I was growing up in New Jersey, our church had a Strawberry Social every June. I remember my dad taking me as his date and we feasted on shortcake, whipped cream, and fresh, juicy strawberries.
It was heaven!
I’ve always loved strawberries and especially in combination with cake, so this Strawberry Trifle recipe is perfect!*This is one of my mom’s favorite desserts so I made it for her for Mother’s Day* 🙂
Strawberry Trifle
Ingredients –
- 1 prepared Angel Food Cake, cubed
- 1 prepared large box of vanilla instant pudding
- 1 large tub of Cool Whip
- Fresh strawberries, sliced
Directions –
Divide Angel Food Cake cubes in half. Put half of the cubes in large bowl.Cover the cake cubes with half of the prepared pudding.Place half of the sliced strawberries on top of the pudding.Cover with half of the Cool Whip.
Repeat layers.
Put in the refrigerator for a good long bit.
Pass out the spoons to everyone in your Happy Home and dig in to this summer-y goodness!
I promise everyone will think it’s the BERRY best!!You could even throw some blueberries in there and make it festive for your Memorial Day picnic!
Happy Strawberry Trifle-ing! 🙂
