How I Told the Happy Hubby We Were Pregnant – Part 1

If you have been following Happy Home Fairy for awhile, you may know already that the Happy Hubby and I struggled for many years to get pregnant before God gave us the Happy Buddy.

So when He answered our prayers – at just the perfect time, I might add! – we were kind of ecstatic!

This season always brings back sweet memories of that moment when I got to tell the Happy Hubby the good news because the day I took that pregnancy test, it was a crisp October morning.

Fall is my favorite, so I was immediately inspired to tell him in a magical way…

It was like 5 o’clock in the morning.

I had a stash of pumpkin cut-outs (I was teaching 2nd grade at the time) as well as a bunch of pumpkin-shaped candy corn.

So I used them to make a trail from our bedroom door to the kitchen.I wrote a sweet something on each cut-out pumpkin – something similar to the You’re My Pumpkin Because Jar I made for the Happy Hubby last year. When I jumped on our bed to wake up my man, he followed the pumpkins…And found this final note with the positive pregnancy test.

I could never fully describe to you, my Happy Home friends, the praise party that we shared over those pumpkins that morning!

Then we had to take a photo to share with our friends and family…There’s us with our little pumpkin-to-be.And there’s our little pumpkin in the flesh. 🙂

Come back tomorrow to find out how I told the Happy Hubby the good news about our newest growing pumpkin!

Happy Good News-ing! 🙂

I think you are the most adorable person ever!! This is so cute!? We tried a lonng time to get pregnant with our first as well. I made a card for the grandparents that said “Cast Your Vote” with a big red check mark on the front. Inside were two boxes, one said “pink” and one said “blue”. Below that I wrote “Polls close on …..” with my estimated due date. It took them a second to get it! What a fun memory : )

    That’s so cute!
I’ve never had a baby reveal with my hubby. We struggled with unexplained infertility for 4 1/2 years before getting pregnant. He knew more about my cycle then any man should and he always knew when I would be taking a pregnancy test…he was usually there while I did it. He’s kinda a bummer to tell now. Our first pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 12wks and we had super dark strong pg tests with that one. With our daughter and this little one I’m currently carrying the pg test lines were so light and faint. He kept saying things like, “we’ll wait and see. Take another test in a week.” I kept trying to explain to him that 2 lines are 2 lines…it doesn’t matter how faint they are 🙂

IM SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had no idea number two was on the way!!!!!!! I could literally jump out of my skin with excitement for you my dear sister in Christ, God is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOD!! He is an on time God! Im currently standing firm on those promises as well, we arent exactly TTC but God knows I desire a daughter more than anything right now, but as the mother of three boys, I can tell you that you love them all in different but equal ways no matter the gender or age, I remember being pregnant with my second and worrying about how I could love another the same as I love my first because my world revolved around my oldest, but once he came along it just came natural, even though they are the same gender and only 16 months apart and according to most could pass for twins, there personalities are so different and I love them in there own unique ways, God bless you and your family Happy Fairy!
