Every year I have it in my head and heart to do something for my children’s teachers on the first day of school! But the reality is that I don’t have it that together.
In fact, this year on the first day of school, Noah woke up and said these words to me, “I am going to go start my summer reading project now.”
He literally said those words to me on the morning of the first day of school. 😂
And that is only a small indicator of how the rest of the morning went! I am fairly certain that someone wasn’t wearing underwear and all 3 of the boys were way past due for a haircut.
All that to say, I did not get a first day of school gift for the teacher.
But I DID get a gift by the end of the first week! And I am sharing it with you today!
Teachers love some flair pens. I grabbed this set at Target, but you can also find them HERE.
Then print my FREE Printable tag (click link below), sign your child’s name, and tape it to the package of pens. It will be the best gift at the end of a long first week of school!
You can see in the photos above that I added a little bag of treats to the flair pens for a bit of extra. New pens and dark chocolate – what more could a person ask for? 😉

I hope everyone is having a great back to school season and that your kids got their summer reading projects done on time.
Joyfully,
Julie 🙂
