Happy Baby’s class was having an Easter egg hunt last week and I really wanted to put an extra special spin on the eggs I was supposed to send in for his classmates.
I love that each item in this Easter Story Snack Mix represents an important part of the story of Christ and the life of the Christian.
What you will need –
Pretzels – The cross. “He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.” Colossians 2:14 (NLT)
Craisins – Jesus’ blood. “He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.” Ephesians 1:7 (NLT)
Round cracker – The stone that was rolled away! “They found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance.” Luke 24:2 (NLT)
White jellybean or mini marshmallow – Our sins are washed away. “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” 1 John 1:9 (NLT)
Goldfish – Be fishers of men. “Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”” Matthew 4:19 (NLT)
Sweet treat – He is risen! “Taste and see that the Lord is good!” Psalm 34:8
Put everything into an Easter egg and attach the egg to the FREE Printable with a Glue Dot.

Great ideas for shining the light on Resurrection Day.
Truly wonderful.
Will add it to my collection.
Do you also have crafts on the Feasts of the Lord?
We really need to start celebrating the Holy Days appointed by God.

I love this. A delightful little 9-yr-old girl across the street visits me (often) and I’ve been sharing Jesus with her. With ‘resurrection Sunday’ coming up, I’ve been looking for ways to explain it in a memorable but fun way. This is gonna happen! Since chocolate is her favorite thing, I’m going to incorporate that with an oreo for the cracker. Thanks for your inspiration.

Love this idea

Wonderful snack idea! Hugs!
Jessica
I love this idea and going to use at my sons private school party this Thursday. Did you wash all the plastic eggs before adding the mix or do you think they are good to go as is?
Happy Home Fairy
Hi Jessica! Honestly, I didn’t even think to wash anything! I imagine you should be fine. 🙂
Megan
I love this idea. Thanks for putting it together and sharing it. One little correction, though. “Taste and see…” is actually Psalm 34:9
Happy Home Fairy
Thank you, Megan!!! But I double checked and it is the 8th verse. 🙂 It has always been one of my favorites.

Julie,
I just found this post again and I’m for sure doing this next week! I am SO very thankful for you and your generous, willing heart! When I first found your blog a few years ago, I was instantly drawn to your flair and your huge love for the Lord. I’m praying for you and your precious family today. Also, that new little blessing!
Heidi
This is such a fun little idea!

I love the idea. Is there a black and white printable? So the kids can color it in?
