There are so many days where I crawl into bed at night unsure of how I did that day as a mama.
I will remember being less than patient, self-seeking, and not seizing every opportunity to point my children to Jesus.
There is SO much that I want for my boys, but often my weaknesses feel so limiting!
So the only thing I know to do is cry out to Him! Crawl back out of bed and into the rooms where my sleeping babies rest and pray.
Pray for God to take my awkward, messy attempts at parenting and in His power grow my boys to be men who will serve and seek Him above all else.
This small and simple act never fails to give me peace and confidence as I roll all of my cares onto the One who has the future in His hands. The One who hears me. The One who loves me. The One who strengthens me to get up each day and keep at it!
We can see this very clearly in the story of Hannah where she cries out to the Lord for her womb to be opened. In her distress, she prays so hard and fervently that the priest thinks she is drunk! But after she pours her heart out in prayer, the Bible says that she went away and her face was ‘radiant’ (v.18).
That can happen for us mamas too! The more time we spend in His presence, the more we exchange helpless desperation for confident joy and expectation that God is with us and that He will answer us in a way that is absolutely best and for His glory.
Here is a sweet little FREE Printable of Scripture-based prayers for you to use as a guide as you pray over your child’s various God-given parts and ask Him in faith for His kingdom to come in them.

9/29/21 I have the Back to School prayer sheet on my Facebook page from a long time ago. I saw it on a church site Facebook page, when I was looking for the dates of their rummage sale. Today I was leaving for church and came back in and printed a bunch to give to the children’s Pastor. He thought the sheets were great. Both kids and parents loved them. Thank You from an old church Grandma
