Least favorite time of day in my house?
Weekday mornings!
As much as I try to be organized and on top of things, the last 10 minutes before we have to get out the door for school and work always feels crazy!
And, after feeding everyone else, it’s usually in those last 10 minutes that I remember to grab something to eat for breakfast for myself.
Needless to say, I have had to master the art of the quick breakfast!
Because if I don’t, I am famished by mid-morning, which means I am also super foggy-brained and depleted of strength to do my job well.
I know how busy you mamas are and I wonder if you’re feeling the same way.
So today I thought I would share with you 10 of my favorite, quick, easy, and even healthy (woohoo for New Year Goals!) breakfast ideas to help you get out the door with the energy you need to tackle the rest of that crazy day!
*Are you gluten free? Most of these ideas can be modified to fit your dietary needs!*
Quick Eggs and Fruit
Did you know you can microwave eggs?! Total game changer to my mornings, y’all!
Place 2 eggs in a bowl sprayed with cooking spray. Beat the eggs with a fork. Add a little milk and mix again. Place bowl in microwave for 1 minute. Stir. Microwave for 30 seconds. Stir. Microwave for 30 seconds. Stir. Fluff with fork, add some washed strawberries and/or lightly buttered toast, and BOOM.
Almond Butter and Banana Toast
I ate this almost every morning during my pregnancy with Jet-Jet. I love it so much.
Take 2 pieces of wholegrain or gluten free toast (I love Ezekiel Bread!). Spread 1 Tablespoon of almond butter on each slice. Add banana slices on top. Sprinkle with raisins or dried cranberries, if desired.
Smoothie Time
I am absolutely obsessed with THIS SMOOTHIE right now (plus it is chocolate. I cannot even imagine a better way to start the day.)
And Jethro loves THIS SMOOTHIE >> even though I put ‘salad’ in it, as he calls it. 🙂
Cereal and Blueberries
Pour your favorite whole grain cereal into a bowl (I love THIS GLUTEN FREE ONE), add almond milk or regular milk, top with blueberries and sliced almonds.
Waffles
Toast 2 Whole Grain or Gluten Free Toaster Waffles, top with a little butter, some sliced bananas, walnut pieces, and 1 Tablespoon of pure maple syrup.
PB and Strawberries
Spread a cinnamon raisin English Muffin (I love the Ezekiel Bread ones!) with 2 Tablespoons peanut butter, and sliced strawberries.
Yogurt Bowl
Mix one small container of your favorite brand full fat vanilla yogurt with sliced bananas, strawberries, walnut pieces, and 1 Tablespoon (or 10 – ha!) of dark chocolate chips (see the full recipe HERE).
Protein Blast
Boil 2 hard-boiled eggs the day before. Eat with 2 Applegate Naturals Breakfast Sausage Patties Chicken & Apple and a bunch of grapes.
Granola Bar and Yogurt
Eat a KIND Healthy Grains Granola Bars, Oats & Honey with Toasted Coconut, Gluten Free, a small container of full fat strawberry yogurt, and a banana.
Oatmeal
Drive to Starbucks. Order their Classic Oatmeal. (Don’t add the brown sugar packet to make this an even healthier choice!)
You’re Welcome. 🙂
What do you think? Did I just blow your breakfast mind?! No more skipping, girlfriend! Your body and mind and family will thank you!

If you are going out for a quick and healthy drive-through breakfast, I would add: Chick-fil-A egg white grill 😋
