For the last several years I have made the Happy Hubby an I Love You Because Jar for Valentine’s Day!
I just picked up a small glass jar for $1 at Michael’s.
Next I cut out some pink and red construction paper squares.
Then – here’s the super fun part – I thought of 10 reasons why I love my man.
I slipped the papers inside my jar, tied a cute bow around the top, and stuck a glittery heart sticker on top – Voila! A $1 gift that reaped like millions of dollars worth of Happy Hubby Lovin’.
Last year I did a I Love You Because Box because that’s what was in the Dollar Bins at Target.
Some of my favorite notes I wrote…
I love you because you wash your feet every night before bed. (This is funny because he NEVER washes his feet before bed, although I ask him EVERY NIGHT if he has – I am crazy about having clean feet in bed, and he always tells me yes.)
I love you because you laugh at all of my dumb jokes.
I love you because you compliment my cooking with great enthusiasm – even if all I did was pour some prepackaged fajita seasoning on top of steak stir fry.
I love you because you iron.
I love you because you somehow manage to be the greatest worship pastor, seminary student, Dad, best friend, and hubby a girl could ever ask for!
The last couple of years I invited some friends over to make I Love You Because Jars with me. It was so fun sitting around talking lovely things about our Happy Hubbies and being intentional about making something to bless them.
I supplied the jars (this year I picked up Valentine Chinese Takeout Boxes), some construction paper, and a few pages of Valentine stickers and we all got to work.
Here is my Happy Home Friend Joanna and her Love Box…
And a sample note for her Happy Hubby…
I so encourage you to gather up your gal pals and make Love Jars too! Make an investment in your marriage! 🙂 Best choice ever!
Happy I Love You Because Jar-ing! 🙂

I did a variation of this for my husband one Christmas. Only I used a poster board and COVERED it with 100 reasons I love my husband. He loved it and hung it in his garage 🙂

Girl- 100?!?! That’s AWESOME! Once I sit down and start thinking about it, the reasons keep pouring out! You are such a great wife!
