Here is a fun and simple game to play with your kids or students this fall!
You will need:
- 3-5 large, fall-colored paper leaves. I printed mine from HERE and then colored them with a crayon.
- A small pumpkin cut out (I used a precut glittery foam pumpkin shape I found in the Dollar Bins at Target).
How to Play:
Hang the leaves on a flat surface using tape. I used our magnet wall.
Tell the children to close their eyes.
While their eyes are closed, hide the pumpkin under one of the leaves.
Tell the children to open their eyes and sing this song (to the tune of “Frere Jacques”).
Where is pumpkin? Where is pumpkin?
Look and see. Look and see.
I think he’s hiding, I think he’s hiding –
Under a leaf. Under a leaf.
Then I choose a student to come up and verbally tell me which color leaf they think the pumpkin is hiding under.
After they say the color, then they are allowed to peak under the leaf to see if they are correct.
We found the pumpkin!
Repeat the game as many times as the kids are interested!
Happy Where Is Pumpkin Game-ing! 🙂
