The Amazing Glue Dot and a St. Patty’s Day Game

They have been taking over my blog since I am clearly not doing much around here. 🙂

I can’t even tell you how many times a day I have to surrender my desire to write in order to make sure I am doing all the other things the Lord wants me to do first.

Tonight, however, I had to get this post up because the good people over at GLUE DOTS are counting on me!

Have y’all ever used a Glue Dot before?

Glue Dots is seriously the new way to glue.

We live in the 21st century.  We don’t like to wait for things.  Waiting for white glue to dry can sometimes feel like waiting for Christmas to happen.

Enter the Glue Dot – a small double-sided adhesive dot that is easy to use, mess free, and has absolutely no dry-time.

Let me show you how Glue Dots helped me out at our recent MOMs meeting at my church.

With St. Patrick’s Day coming up next week, I wanted to have the moms participate in a fun game to get our meeting off to an exciting start.

So I picked up a piece of blue poster board from the Dollar Tree, some colorful balloons, and printed off my FREE Printable St. Patrick’s Day Conversation and Joke Cards.

We rolled up the FREE Printable Conversation and Joke Cards and put one inside each balloon.

Then we blew those balloons up (Note – I am trying to look cute while blowing up a balloon but this is an impossible task.  You will always look like a chipmunk while blowing up balloons).

I grabbed a package of Glue Dot Adhesives made especially for Posters.

I placed 5 dots on the poster board in the shape of a rainbow.

Then I stuck a balloon on top of each dot.

I was so happy that all my balloons stayed in place on the poster board!

We put several more Glue Dots on the back of the poster board and hung it on the wall (which was very impressive as our wall was made out of bricks).

When the meeting began I explained that the game would need 5 volunteers to come up, pick a balloon, pop it with a pin, and then read the conversation card or joke card from inside the balloon out loud to the group.

It was so funny!

Some of the volunteers told us hilarious jokes.

While others had to answer super thought-provoking questions like, “What are the colors in the rainbow?” or “If you found a pot of gold, what would you do with it?”

Our last guest had the privilege of doing her best performance of an Irish Jig.

She nailed it.

I had great prizes for everyone courtesy of the Dollar Tree, like glittery shamrock table scatter, leprechaun window clings, and a Happy St. Patrick’s Day banner.

But for me, the best prize was getting to see my Glue Dots in action!

I hope the next time you are at the store (you can find Glue Dots at these stores) you will pick up a package of Glue Dots.  Because whether you play this fun game at home with your own family for St. Patrick’s Day this year, or you need a quicker solution than white glue for your next craft project, or your teenager suddenly tells you he has to put a science poster together for tomorrow’s fair, I think you will find yourself STUCK on this fabulous product!
