I think Family Fun is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE Websites.
Right now they are just OVERFLOWING with magical ideas for Valentine’s Day. And I mean overflowing! It can be overwhelming to try and sort through all the creative-ness to find something just perfect for your Happy Home!
So, I thought I’d feature my Top 3 Faves from Family Fun to help you narrow it down. 🙂
Don’t you just love these Sweet Shovels? I am a HUGE fan of puns and these are perfect!
I used to make these pencil holders for my 2nd graders every year on Valentine’s Day! The kids would walk in the room and their brand new Valentine pencils would be waiting for them on their desks. What a great lesson in homonyms, too! Plus, they sell packages of Valentine pencils in the Target Dollar Bins! Woo woo!
And I just think these Heart Crayons are just DARLING!!!
I have always wanted to do this project because all of the colors mixed together look so lovely!
Let me know which one you’re going to try with your Happy Home!
Happy Valentine-ing from Family Fun-ing! 🙂

Family Fun Valentines are the best! I have made the gum butterflies in the past and they were VERY well received. This year I plan on doing the adorable Popsicle cards that were featured in this month’s magazine. They are made with drinking straws and spaghetti and say “You melt my heart”.
I loved seeing your favorites too – I hadn’t run across the shovel one. Thanks!

Me again 🙂 I also did these one year: http://familyfun.go.com/crafts/be-mine-band-aids-669989/ only I was careful opening the bandaid so I could reclose it in the packaging so I could give “unopened” bandaids as Valentines. Big hit with my family. My two boys and I like to make Valentines for all our extended family and mail them. Who wouldn’t love opening an envelope (or small package) of Valentine happiness and love?
Another tradition we have that I continued from when I was a child is the Valentine box (a big decorated box we pull out every year) that we put our Valentines into and open on Valentines Day after a special dinner.

Girl, I LOVE it! What great ideas! Your family is so blessed to have a mommy who takes the time to love on them like you do! I am inspired! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
