I mentioned HERE that I was asked to be in charge of providing breakfast and snacks for my school’s teachers during our work week.
When I started planning, I envisioned a bunch of cute back-to-school flower arrangements (inspiration HERE).
I was dreaming aloud one day with our art teacher about my ideas, but then I started thinking about how much work I already had going on getting the food together and I knew I wasn’t going to be able to pull everything off on my own. I knew I had to sleep at some point. 😉
So I decided to just let the whole thing go.
But then the morning of the first breakfast arrived and as I am scrambling around setting everything up, the art teacher came whooshing in carrying a giant basket full of BACK-TO-SCHOOL-THEMED FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS!
Y’all. I about passed out from kindness OVERLOAD.
This is why I wrote an entire book on THIS SUBJECT! We need these moments! Glory to God!
Let me tell you how she made these…
ABC Magnet Jars
- Take a large, wide-mouth Mason jar and place a smaller Mason jar inside.
- Carefully fill the space between the 2 jars with ABC magnets.
- Fill the small jar with water and add flowers.
- Add a cute bow.
Pencil Vase
- Hot glue a box of No. 2’s around a large Mason jar.
- Add flowers.
- Add a cute bow.
Crayon Jar
- Cut the bottom off of a plastic water bottle.
- Fit it inside a small Mason jar.
- Place fresh crayons between the glass jar and plastic bottle part.
- Add water to the plastic bottle.
- Add flowers.
- Add a cute bow.
Aren’t they so adorable?!
I am so blown away that my sweet friend made these for me and for our teachers. I love how she paid attention and saw an opportunity to bless. Let’s all take our cues from that kind of living!
Joyfully,
Julie 🙂
