We’ve been making these adorable sunshine cupcakes for the last 2 years on the first day of summer.
They are so easy!
You will need:
Cupcakes
Icing
Yellow Food Coloring
String Licorice
Mini Chocolate Chips
Candy Corn (I find candy corn year round in the candy aisle at our local Publix grocery store)
Directions:
If you’re brave You can set out little bowls with the ingredients and let your kids put them together.
We’re all excited about summer over here. 😉
Happy Sunshine Cupcake-ing!

I was JUST talking to my son about what end-of-year treat to give his bus driver (literally, 3 minutes ago). I think these will be perfect because his bus driver is definitely a bright spot in our morning. : ) Thanks for sharing such a cute idea!

Oh how fun! The bus driver will LOVE these! What a great idea!

So my thought was this would be great for the snack I serve each week at church – I’m going to get the children to eat one then make one to give to someone to brighten their day – however I live in Canada (in a very small town) and while they seem to make a version of candy corn for every other season – I have searched and can not find them – so now I’m thinking of cutting the marshmallow bananas in half to create sorta the same thing – Come this fall look out bulk store I’m coming to stock up =)

April, I can mail you some if you want! 🙂
