That’s what you’d hear around our Happy Home as we enjoy waving around our new magic wands!!!
They are so easy to make and totally and completely necessary for you to have within reach at all times! What you’ll need to make a magic wand…
- Paint stick stirrers (free at Lowe’s or Home Depot!)
- Paint
- Glitter Glue (I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE that stuff.)
- Pre-made curly ribbons (I got mine in the gift wrap aisle at our local Walmart)
- Paintbrushes
- Glue Gun
Paint your paint sticks whatever color you desire!Hot glue the ribbon bunch to the end of your paint stick.
Allow to dry.Use your glitter glues of wonder to make swirly sparkly designs on your paint stick.
Your Magic Wands are all done and ready to be waved around in absolute abandonment of joy!!The Happy Buddy was moving so fast with his wands that our little camera simply could not keep up.Shhhhhh… Don’t tell my daddy that I have been playing with magic wands and LOVING it!
Guess I better start praying that God will give us a daughter one day. 🙂
Happy Magic Wand-ing! 🙂
*P.S. I used to make these as Quiet Sticks for my 2nd Grade classroom! I would walk around the room and tap the shoulders of students that were doing quiet work – just to reinforce the good behavior. They loved feeling the ribbons!*

I love how the curly ribbons match his curly little head of hair!
Mary Datema
Hi, I am a special education teacher that is working on a book for preschool and child care providers to assist them in dealing with kids on the autism spectrum. I would like to ask your permission to use the Potato Head classroom rules as a photo in my book (you would be credited, of course) in a section about rules and routines. Please let me know if that would be ok. Thanks so much.

Hi Mary! That would be great! Thanks!
