This summer the Happy Hubby has been doing quite a bit of scuba diving.
I am not going to lie. Seeing him in a wetsuit is pretty awesome (wink!).
When he returned from one of his dives last week, he told me that he had seen an octopus!
That got me all inspired and now I just can’t wait to share with the Happy Buddy about this crazy, 8-legged-suction-cupped-cephalopod.
This is such a simple way to make an octopus!
Learn Create Love shows you how with a toilet paper roll, some paint, and a pair of googlies.
This fun octopus from Little Learner’s Lounge is created by using your Happy Buddy’s handprints and then gluing down some Cheerios to represent the suction cups!
So clever!
Who doesn’t love bubble wrap??
Adventures In Mommy-Land made this colorful guy by decorating a paper plate and then painting strips of bubble wrap for all those arms.
Use a brown lunch bag to make an octopus like this one from To the Moon and Back.
I like the use of the reinforcement stickers as suckers.
The Gold Jellybean creatively made an Octopus Sock Family using just a few items and just a few minutes.
This would be the perfect rainy day activity for your little one – no sewing required (which is good for me because I don’t even know how to sew a button).
I am super excited to report that the Happy Buddy just added hot dogs to the list of 6 things he eats.
I wish it were broccoli or asparagus instead of processed pork, but oh well! Baby steps.
I think I might surprise him with this Octopus Hot Dog from The Craftinomicon for lunch one day this week.
Or these adorable Baby Octopus Hot Dogs from HERE are kind of irresistible. 🙂
Kitchen Fun with My 3 Sons featured this great (and ridiculously easy to make) Octopus Fruit Snack.
Finally, stick a lollipop in a cupcake with some gummy worm legs and chocolate chip eyes for a treat that will have your Happy Buddies clapping their hand, hand, hand, hand, hand, hand, hand, hands!
Check these Octopus Cupcakes out over at Disney.
Q. How does an octopus go to war?
