After awhile, packing the same ole’ peanut butter and jelly sandwich on regular bread may get a little boring.
Every once in awhile, why not spice things up?
All I am talking about is a simple switcher-oo of the kind of bread being used!
How about using pita bread?
Or a wrap?
You must check out these adorable PB&J sushi sandwiches!
Mix it up by using waffles.
Mini bagels are super fun.
Happy Buddies like small things.
And then there are hot dog buns.
I am always up for an English Muffin.
Crackers just make me happy.
You could also use a piece of whole wheat and a piece of white bread to make this jazzed up sandwich.
So cute. So simple.
Go ahead and add some pizzazz to the PB&J!
Happy Beating the Blahs-ing! 🙂
The bento boxes are cute and all but I have two questions. 1. How on earth do you get enough food to fill a 10 year old boy in one of those tiny boxes? 2. How on earth do you get the cute to survive a backpack and make it out cute on the other side? 3. Does cutting the veg up into cute little shapes REALLY encourage the kids to eat it? (Okay, I guess I have three questions!) I think my kids would say, “blech, veg”; not “oh man, what a cute little star, let me eat that. What? It’s veg? Who knew??? Man, I’m glad I tried that!”
Of course, I have three boys (grades 1, 2 and 6) and I don’t really think they’d go for the cute anyway. My girl may next year when she starts K though!
Such great ideas! I’d like to invite you to link up at my Friday Favorites party!
love the ideas! especially the pbnj rolls….my kids have peanut butter allergy, but maybe i can do this with some other spreads….thanks!!
What great ideas! My kids would love the pb and j sushi =o)
You make lunch look fun! I’m thinking I should invest in some of those silicon baking cups. They up the cute factor tremendously and since adults are known to eat with their eyes, I bet kids do even more so.
I just saw them at the dollar store! (just incase little ones throw them away… Not a big deal!)
I love fun lunch ideas. The waffle and sushi rolls are my favorite Thanks for sharing!

Great ideas! I made a wafflewich last week w/ PB & Honey, cut it into 3 concentric circles then cut in half to make a 6 piece sort of puzzle. It was very well loved by my 4 & 5 yr olds.
Andrea, that sounds so fun!!!
