Yesterday we kicked off summer around these parts with the reveal of our Summer Bucket List.
In between checking off our list, we are having fun with a few easy craft projects while the Happy Baby naps.
This Summer Sun Paper Plate Craft turned out absolutely adorable and we were able to make it with a few supplies I picked up at Target!
The key ingredients to this craft were all the bright colors and the cute patterned tape from the kid’s craft aisle at Target.
Of course, I had to make my own sun.
But I liked the Happy Buddy’s better.
I used to be so controlling about the Happy Buddy’s painting – I would seriously finish painting the entire plate for him if he didn’t do it himself (anybody else a little OCD like that?!?!) – but now I have learned to LOVE his haphazard paint job and think it gives his sun some seriously sweet personality.
There is so much beauty in the imperfect, amen?!
These guys just make us smile every day.
And while you’re busy painting and taping your suns, it’s the perfect opportunity to remind our Happy Buddies what it means to shine brightly for Him!
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
Happy Summer Sun Paper Plate Craft-ing! 🙂

So pretty! I have older kids, and I had to constantly remind myself, it is the process, not the product. For them, the learning is in the process (for the most part). Enjoy!
