When I first started this blog over 7 years ago, I posted an Easter morning scavenger hunt printable (with a surprise ending – see it HERE) that so many of you have enjoyed and used over the years! I cannot even tell you what a privilege it is to help make your homes happy. It’s why I do what I do!
Many of you have asked for a new scavenger hunt and this year >> I answered!
In the nick of time! 🙂
This new version is my favorite because it is simple enough for little hearts, has elements of fun for the older ones, and the whole thing celebrates the REAL meaning of Easter.
What more could we ask for, right??
Here is a sneak peek at what you are getting…
How to set up your Happy Home Fairy Scavenger Hunt…
First, print the cards and cut them out. Then >>
- Put Card #1 in a plastic Easter egg and place outside your child’s bedroom door (or somewhere obvious for first thing in the morning).
- Put Card #2 in a plastic Easter egg and place by a banana.
- Put Card #3 in a plastic Easter egg and place under a chair in your kitchen.
- Put Card #4 in a plastic Easter egg and place by a lamp in your house.
- Put Card #5 in a plastic Easter egg and hide outside somewhere (on the sidewalk, in a bush or tree, etc.).
- Put Card #6 in a plastic Easter egg and place in a shoe.
- Put Card #7 in a plastic Easter egg and place in the bathroom on top of the toilet.
- Put Card #8 in a plastic Easter egg and place in your dryer.
- Put Card #9 in a plastic Easter egg and place under a bed.
- Put Card #10 in a plastic Easter egg and place in the shower.
- Put Card #11 in a plastic Easter egg and place next to a toy.
*IMPORTANT NOTE* — MAKE SURE YOU WRITE ON CARD #11 THE LOCATION OF YOUR CHILD’S EASTER BASKET. This could be in a closet or the car (ha!) or even in the garage – whatever you think will work!
You sweet mamas are so precious to take time to plan magical and meaningful moments for your kiddos. These little touches can create memories for your children and help foster an understanding of their faith that are planted seeds for the Lord to water!
But (to eliminate the pressure/mom guilt, etc.) do they need stuff like this? Nope — all they need is your love.
I pray that your family has a beautiful Easter celebrating our risen Savior.

“Give praise to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In his great mercy he has given us a new birth and a living hope. This hope is living because Jesus Christ rose from the dead.” 1 Peter 1:3 (NIRV)

This so great! Thank you! Planning to do it with my littles on Sunday.
Steph
I did this with my kids last year, but I’m definitely not as good at the rhymes as you are 🙂 Thank you–the kids loved it last year, and this helps me repeat it this year without having to come up something new!

I HAVE to share my thanks with your for sharing the 40 days of lent verse printables.
What I did was hid them in separate eggs (a different color for each 3 of my kiddos) each morning of lent, along with about 5 M&M’s to remind us that Jesus is sweet! =) It got them super excited, and gave us a chance to sit down and discuss the verses each morning as they devoured their M&M’s. My husband was cautious at first about me feeding them sugar very first thing in the morning, but when he saw their excitement and how much they understood and cherished the verses, he was all on board!
Thanks for pointing our family to Christ! =)
Sabrina
Love it! Printing these up asap. Have a blessed Easter!

Thank you SO much, Julie! Although my kids are not so little anymore, they still enjoy the hunt for their baskets on Easter morning, and I treasure the moments that I get to see them still being kids. I greatly appreciate the time and effort you put forth, so that we could enjoy making special memories with our family. 🙂

I just love you so much! Can’t wait to do this with my kiddos tomorrow morning. Thank you for all of your hard work and creativity!

I used a few of these for a mini hunt with my 2yr old daughter and she loved it!! It took her a few minutes to understand but once she got it, she was quick! I would love to see an everyday version of this! I also used your egging printable. We put your easter conversation cards in the eggs. Our neighbor loved it! They egged us back!! 🙂
Rhonda
I can’t wait to use these! They are adorable! I LOVE the rhymes. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for creating this! Can’t wait to do it with my littles on Easter morning!
Nicole
Thank you so much. I do this every year with my big and I always struggle to come up with the clues. I was just telling my husband how sad I am at how much Christ is missing on Easter with focusing on the candy the eggs and the bunny, I’m so grateful that you’ve given me a way to put the Lord back into Easter where he belongs. Thank you so much.
Aimee
This is Great! Thank you for doing this!
Laura
Is there anyway you can make this with an additional file thats alterable so we can change the location from year to year?
All the best it’s so much fun!
Blessings,
Laura

Hi Laura! Thank you for this idea! At this time I am not able to do that because all of my printables are hand drawn. However I will look into this for next year!!! Thank you and Happy Easter!!!
Kara
Thank you so much for this! I dont have a printer so just hand wrote them. My 5 year old woke up to the first clue! I’m so glad I was able to talk about the story of Easter as we went around the house! Happy Easter! He is risen!
Angela
Thank you so so much for making this easy for us!! I’m getting ready to do this with my littles now!

Just did this cute scavenger hunt with my grand babies (2 and 5) this Sunday. Great activity since the traditional Easter activities are out with all our self-quarantine going on. Thank you for sharing this. We had a great time!
Donna
Thank you so much! Didn’t actually do on Easter morning (I am the grandmother), so did before Easter with some surprises at the end. The grandkids loved it and I loved Jesus more in Easter ❤️

I turned this into a fill in the blank for my kids this year – I also found a font that looks remarkably like your handwriting. I can send them your way if you are ever interested in changing the hunt up. Blessings!

Thank you so much for creating a Christ-centered Easter scavenger hunt! What a great idea to keep kids focused on the truth of Easter while having fun. I printed one to do with my daughter and I also linked to your post in my own recent post on quick and easy Easter activities for kids (https://mamarissa.com/7-last-minute-quick-and-easy-easter-activities-for-kids/).
