“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32
Easter is such a beautiful time to consider all the ways in which Jesus has shown kindness to us.
His kindness extended from the many ways He loved and helped people during His ministry on earth, all the way to His sacrificial death on the cross – the ultimate act of kindness on our behalf.
To help your Happy Buddies show kindness as Jesus exampled, this Bunny Service Jar is just the thing!Simply find a jar – I found mine at the Dollar Tree.Grab a handful of cotton balls.
Attach the printable poem to the jar.

Gather your Happy Buddies around and read the poem together. Talk about the importance of doing kind things for others in the spirit of what we are remembering this Easter season (and every day, for that matter! :-)).
Then let your Happy Buddies loose in order to see all that God inspires in them to do for others. 🙂
Place a cotton ball (Bunny Tails) in the jar for every act of kindness.
When your Bunny Service Jar is all filled up, make an Easter treat together as a way to celebrate!
Here are some of my favorite Easter treats…
Lovin’ these adorable Peep treat baskets of deliciousness from The Crafting Chicks! Oh, Peeps, there is no end to the creative and yummy fun with you!
*Kids can help with the molding of the Chinese Noodles and also placing the jellybeans/Peeps in the nest.
Baking an Easter Bunny cake is so much fun!!!!
*Kids can help decorate the bunny with jellybeans, licorice, Hershey’s Kisses, etc.
Or you could simply print this free bunny candy bar cover from HERE and just wrap it around a Hershey’s Bar. These are sure to get your Happy Buddies hoppin’!
*Kids can help (after receiving their own Bunny Candy Bar from you) by making Bunny Candy Bars for neighbors and friends – don’t forget to add more cotton balls to your now exploding service jar!! 🙂
And finally, these Chocolate-Dipped Rice Krispie Treat Eggs are just too cute not to share! Kitchen Simplicity provides a very easy recipe!
*Kids will love dipping the eggs in the melted chocolate and sprinkles.
Whatever treat you decide, enjoy doing it together – partying about the ways Jesus has shined forth from your Happy Buddies’ lives.
Happy Bunny Service Jar-ing! 🙂
*I was inspired for this idea by a similar jar over at the amazing Creative Stirrings.
