I keep turning around and being surprised by how fast the weeks are flying.
Happy Buddy said to me on Sunday that next week was Palm Sunday and I was like, “That’s ridiculous, no it’s not.”
And sure enough – it is.
The Easter season is here! I have a BIG printable for you that I am hopefully going to get to work on this weekend if I give my kids a bag of pretzels and put them in a cage.
But today I have been thinking about some of the yummy recipes I have on this site and I wanted to share what, in my humble opinion, would be the perfect Easter feast – a delicious combination of flavors that is sure to make everyone’s tummies sing right along with their mouths after belting, “Christ the Lord is Risen Today” at church.
First, buy a ham from Honeybaked. You’re welcome.
Next, make THIS amazing potato casserole.
Then make THIS salad (it is my most-requested, most popular recipe EVER).
Bake a batch of banana bread – (you can find this recipe at chef-in-training).
Serve up a side of THIS applesauce Jell-O.
And for dessert, enjoy THESE lemon cheese bars.
I promise that everyone will be in hog heaven (quite literally, if you are eating ham).
I’d love to know if you plan to use any of these recipes with your families this year! Feel free to leave a comment below or drop me an email. It always warms my heart to know how this site is helping you build a happy home – and stomach, for that matter.
Happy Easter Feast-ing! 🙂

I have 6 over ripe bananas on my counter this very minute begging to be turned into that banana bread! Will make a nice grab and go breakfast on Palm Sunday as my husband and I dash out early for worship rehearsal! Thanx!

We are doing the entire menu for Easter…thank you so much. Also, printed the “ice breaker” ideas and are putting them at 100 places for our church’s country breakfast in the morning. Luv, luv, luv your ideas. The Furrs

First off – I HATE to cook. 🙁 I hate all things related to cooking: planning what to eat, picking it all up at the grocery store, coming home and measuring it all out and preparing it all – just to have my ultra-picky family turn their noses up at it all! SO when I saw your post this year I just figured, “Why not? This looks pretty good to me and the rest of them won’t eat anything any way!” So i ordered a Honey Baked ham and made every thing in your post to go with it. I subbed out the sour cream for Greek yogurt (for ultra-picky hubs and son) and doubled the Ramen noodles to help disguise the broccoli some more! 🙂 GUESS WHAT? We basically just had the best meal ever, here! Everyone had at least 2 things BESIDES the amazing ham that they liked – I’m seriously in disbelief here! I’m about to scour your entire site and cook every recipe you’ve shared! 🙂 THANK YOU and Happy Easter! <3
