As a Preschool Director at a Christian school and as a mama who loves Jesus, I love finding new resources that teach little ones about God’s Word in a fun and interactive way.
Today I want to share a fun line of coloring and activity books by The Beginner’s Bible! These coloring and activity books are the perfect supplement to The Beginner’s Bible – which my family loves to use. With these books, while your kids are having fun completing word puzzles, mazes, matching games, etc., they are also reviewing stories from the Bible.
Now more than ever I feel our kids need to know what they believe. Whatever I can do to help my boys learn what God’s Word says, I am here for it.
Here are my top 5 ways you can use these great resources!

At-Home Learning
Many families have gone “back to school” at home and that means the student is sitting in front of a tablet for a good portion of the day. These coloring and activity books are the perfect break from the screen, all while challenging your child AND teaching them about the Lord.
Car Rides
Our family has gone back to school in a building – that is 15 miles away from our house! We have quite the drive each day. It is a family rule that screens are not allowed during the car ride, so my boys are always looking for new materials to keep themselves busy on the drive. I have added The Beginner’s Bible activity books to our Car Bin!
Calm Down Tool
We know that kids have big feelings and it is our job to help them find healthy ways to process and express those big feelings. Coloring is a proven calming activity and is a great option to have available for your children when they are emotionally struggling. Added bonus is that the material points them to God – the only One who can truly help them find peace!
Quiet Church Fun
Our church is getting ready to have live Sunday morning services again and I can’t wait to get our family back in attendance! Before the pandemic, my boys sat with me through the service. I found it very helpful to give them some quiet activities when I was training them to sit respectfully during that time. I love that these coloring and activity books are Bible-based because I can just find the lesson the pastor is preaching on that Sunday and have my kids color those matching pages! Then we are all on the same page in our age-appropriate pockets.
Gift Ideas
Is there a new family in your neighborhood with young kids? Take them one of these coloring books with a pack of new crayons! Or maybe you know someone who is having a baby and you want to give the older siblings something to do while mom recovers. Or maybe you are officially going back to school this week and you need something for the Back to School Fairy to leave at your child’s breakfast plate on the morning of the big day. Or perhaps you are already thinking ahead to stocking stuffers. Which, if that is you, you go, girl. I don’t even know what I am making for dinner tomorrow night. These coloring and activity books make the perfect gift for any little one in your life!

These are such great ideas! I’m always looking for something for my kids to do during church (especially since right now there’s no children’s church) and this would be a fun option. Thanks for sharing!

I love this!!! My little man will be all over this – I’ve put a few in the cart for Christmas presents. He doesn’t have the Beginner’s Bible yet. I know it will be his favorite yet. Thank you for this!!
