Mother’s Day Ideas – Silhouettes

3 May

I saw this idea in Family Fun a few years ago and snipped it out for future Mother’s Day use.

Image from Family Fun

I can’t wait to put it together this week for the Happy Buddy’s Mom-Mom.

I just have to print the picture of the Happy Buddy’s profile and then scoot on over to the craft store for some fun scrapbooking paper.

I’m going to have my work cut out for me with all those curls. :-)

Materials:
  • Close-up photo of your Happy Buddy’s profile
  • Craft knife
  • Scrapbooking paper
  • Glue
IMG_7807Instructions:
  1. To make one, take a close-up photograph of your Happy Buddy’s profile. Enlarge the image to the desired size on your computer (for an older snapshot, use a copier), print it, then cut out the profile with a craft knife.
  2. Trace the profile on the back of scrapbooking paper and cut it out. Lightly glue the image on another piece of paper and frame it.IMG_7811

Nothing says Happy Mother’s Day like a big mouthful of animal crackers. :-)

Happy Silhouette-ing!
