First of all, I just want to give a big hug to all the Happy Home Friends who left me such sweet and encouraging comments on yesterday’s post. God really used each and every one to give me some Mommy hope! Thank you for taking the time to share something – I am so grateful for your friendship and support! This Mommy business is tough stuff sometimes!
Today I wanted to share a little story with you about something the Happy Buddy said to me yesterday…
As a Happy Home Fairy, I try to make things magical for my family.
Making holidays fun, celebrating the little things in life, and building strong connections with my loved ones is what I love bringing to our home!
Besides the Lord, my favorite place to find magical inspiration is Disney World. If you know me, you know that I have a massive slight obsession with that place.
The Happy Hubby and I got engaged there, had our honeymoon there, have celebrated many anniversaries and birthdays there, and the Happy Buddy has been 3 times since the beginning of his life.
Just before the Happy Buddy was born, the Happy Hubby took me to Disney as an end-of-my-last-year-of-teaching-we’re-about-to-have-a-baby celebration. I joked on our drive there that I hoped I would go into labor and give birth to the Happy Buddy right in front of Cinderella’s castle. I couldn’t imagine anything more magical than that!!!!!!! 🙂
I even had a friend paint hidden Mickey’s on the Happy Buddy’s nursery walls.
Needless to say, Disney is important to me.
So when we were at a playdate yesterday morning and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse was playing on the television in the background, I was perfectly thrilled.
Then the Happy Buddy said something that sent my heart all a-flutter like a thousand glittering Tinker Bells.
He pointed to the screen – right at Mickey Mouse – and declared with a big grin, “MOMMY!”
I can’t imagine a compliment more magical than that. 🙂

Thank you, thank you for taking the time to blog each day! As a fellow, Jesus-lovin’ mama, I am so encourage by your words each day! I have shared your site with many other mamas. God bless you.

Carlene – That blesses me so much to hear your sweet words! Thank you for taking the time to visit this little blog and share it with others. You don’t even know how that lifts me up! And I’m glad you don’t mind a post every day – sometimes I wonder if it’s like glitter overload (although in my opinion, one can never have enough sparkle). 🙂 Whatever will I do when the Happy Buddy decides to quit napping?? 🙂
Stephanie
Hi, I just recently found your blog and have been really enjoying it. I appreciated all your count down to Valentines day ideas, they did make a difference in our home. I just had to comment on this post because our household is the same way. My husband and I met when we both worked at the Disney Store and had our honeymoon at Disneyland (much closer to us the Disney World) My in-laws bought us annual passes when our happy buddy was a year and a half, she is now three and has been many times. We have so much fun as a family, happy hubby and I are just big kids at heart sometimes. Your son did give you a huge compliment. Thanks for making me smile, I certainly identify. Thanks also for all your encouraging posts, I am so glad I came across your blog.

Any tips re: how to get the most for your $ at Disney or how to go without a being a huge expense?
I was able to go on a business trip there w/ hubby and we loved it and would like to take our large family without it costing us the price of a car ;-).

Joeann – I am so happy that you and your hubby got to do Disney together! i think it is just the most magical and romantic place! Are you in the state of Florida? How many people would you be bringing??
