Since our tree is now up, we’ve been feeling quite festive and the story of Jesus’ birth has been ready on our lips.
So much so that it showed up in our Play-Doh play the other day.
I was surprised at how tender the Happy Buddy became toward the little clay Baby Jesus.
He wanted me to make a little Play-Doh bottle for Jesus (which – as the Happy Buddy informed me – Jesus used to guzzle a whole 7 ounces!).
Then halfway through our play, the Happy Buddy asked me if he could borrow Baby Jesus for a minute.
I found him in the living room like this.
I have no gift to bring… That’s fit to give the King… Shall I play for you… on my drum? I played my best for Him… Then He smiled at me, pa rum pum pum pum…. Me and my drum…
