I can’t believe it has taken me so long to post this recipe.
Well, probably because whenever I make it, it gets wolfed down before I can take a photo of it – lol!!!
Pure comfort food, people.
And it is a really great dish to tote along to new mommies, sick friends, persons in need, etc.
I know you’ll love it!
Directions:
Place 5 cups cooked and cubed chicken in a 9×13 dish. Stir together 2 cans cream of chicken soup and 1 cup sour cream. Pour over the chicken. In another bowl, stir together 1 1/2 rolls crushed Ritz crackers, 1/2 cup melted butter, and 1 T poppy seeds. Sprinkle over chicken and sauce. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve over rice.

We love this recipe at our house! A friend made this for me after we had our first daughter and now it’s what I usually make for new mommies. I put rotini in the bottom. Yum!!

Melissa Joan Heart was on the Wayne Brady show years ago and made this recipe – since then it has become a Sunday family favorite – Mom has to make two and she puts a layer of cooked rice under one and a layer of cooked pasta under the other – both are gone by the end of the meal – I prefer the rice

My family love this dish. My husband added 1 block of cream cheese to it and it was even better. 🙂

Made this and my husband and I loved it. We are thinking about adding carrots and peas next time, so it will be a little like a chicken pot pie casserole.
