We all know that those little Leprechauns are tricky fellows!
Legend has it that if you are able catch one they must tell you where their pot of gold is hidden!
Doesn’t that sound fabulous?!?
As we prepare for St. Patrick’s Day and Leprechauns begin to invade our Happy Homes – action must be taken! We must gather our Happy Buddies and determine to uncover those greedy rascals! 🙂
I’m planning on doing a post on Leprechaun Traps in the coming days, but in the meantime, I think this Magic Leprechaun Finder is just the right tool to use as you hunt!
What you will need to make a Magic Leprechaun Finder:
- Thick green paper
- Green saran wrap (or… I couldn’t find green saran wrap anywhere and I didn’t really want to buy anything, so I prayed and prayed about it and came up with the idea to use a St. Patrick’s Day-themed treat sack that I had leftover from last year!)
- Shamrock stickers
- Scissors
- Tape
Step 1:
Cut two pieces of the thick green paper in the shape of a magnifying lens. Don’t forget to cut a whole in the center!
Step 2:
I cut open the treat sack so that it was flat.
Step 3:
Cut the treat sack, or saran wrap, and tape it down over the opening on one of the pieces of green construction paper.
Step 4:
Glue the two pieces of green paper together by placing one on top of the other.
Step 6:
Add all kinds of magical shamrock-ish decorations!!
Make sure you search your Happy Home through and through! Under beds, behind couches, in the sock drawer, etc.!
I just know that your Magic Leprechaun Finder will help you catch one of those stinkers and make you into a millionaire!
And if you do happen to catch one, the Happy Home Fairy expects 50% of your gold profit. 🙂
Happy Magic Leprechaun Finder-ing! 🙂

This is the cutest thing ever. My pre-schoolers are just turning 4 and up until two days ago didn’t know what St Patricks day was. I delighted them with tales of snakes and what Ireland was like years ago. Today we talked about leprechauns and even the very mention of the word has them giggling to no end! Its going to be a fun week 😀
