Holiday Gift Guide for Her

I am a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for me to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites. Read my full disclosure policy here.

I hope y’all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families!  We went to Georgia to visit my parents one last time before they move to South Florida again in January!  It was wonderful.  And my hair did not frizz thanks to anywhere but South Florida. 🙂

To kick things off for the holidays, and since today is Cyber Monday, here are some fun gift ideas for the ladies in your world – or even for yourself!  Just send the link to this post to your husband in a text and include the word ANYTHING and the emoji of the knuckle bump.  Your husband will cry tears of gratitude for you being so kind to help him out instead of sending him false signals with comments like, “Oh, you don’t need to get me anything,” because we all know that ends in a disaster of unmet expectations – am-I-right???

These are items I either own already or wish I did.  I love them all and hope you do too!

Holiday Gift Guide for HER

She Reads Truth Bible

I have heard so many things about this Bible! I really want to dig deeper into God’s Word this coming year.

BEST Booties EVER

I have these booties and wear them ALL THE TIME.  I get so many compliments on them and they go with everything!

The Garden (Deluxe Edition)

I love Kari Jobe and want to be her when I grow up.  This worship album is incredible.

Herbal Essences Dry Shampoo

My life FOREVER changed the day my friend, Katie, introduced me to dry shampoo.  Now I only wash my hair twice a week instead of every day!

BEST Leggings EVER

These leggings are the best I have ever worn.  I love the high waist so everything feels nice and tucked in.  Plus, you can dress them up OR wear them to workout.

Buffalo Check Table Runner

I am having a love affair with buffalo check these days.  This table runner is just too cute.

GraceLaced: Discovering Timeless Truths Through Seasons of the Heart

I love Ruth and can’t wait to read her heart and see her beautiful artwork in this book!

The Magnolia Journal

Looove me some Chip and Joanna!  Also I am a magazine junkie and would love to add this one to my subscription list.

Made By Mary Jewelry

I own two necklaces from this shop and I cannot say enough nice things about them!  These necklaces go with everything.  They are so fun to layer!

UGG Women’s Wrin Slipper

I wear these EVERY DAY in the wintertime.  The angels in heaven made them.

Give Me Jesus Journal

I absolutely love everything the Well Watered Women Co. makes.  This journal is GORGEOUS and truly directs a meaningful time of study in God’s Word.

CHI Original 1″ Flat Hair Straightening Ceramic Hairstyling Iron

I cannot live without my hair iron.  End of story.

Moodstruck Epic Mascara

Favorite mascara EVER.

AMazing Lip Gloss

My sweet friend, Brittani, gifted me this lip gloss and it’s totally amazing.  I typically do not like to wear stuff on my lips, but I barely know this stuff is on me!  It adds just the right pop of color and is so light!

Camo Joggers

I have had my eye on these cute joggers for awhile.  I am always looking for comfy clothes to climb into when I get home from work.  I am also crushing on camo right now so this makes for a win-win with cuteness and comfort!

From Freezer to Table: 75+ Simple, Whole Foods Recipes for Gathering, Cooking, and Sharing

My girls at Thriving Home Blog have released the greatest cookbook on the planet.  It will change the way you make food for your family!  Also one of MY recipes is in this cookbook!  I feel so humbled/honored beyond belief to have partnered with these beautiful gals and their gifts.

What do you like most from this gift guide??  Do you see any ideas for you or a loved one???

What do YOU want for Christmas this year?

Joyfully,

Julie 🙂

Sharing is caring!

One of these amazing boys made me a special edition of his homemade comic strips in honor of Mother’s Day.

And one of these amazing boys patted my stomach during the sermon at church and whispered, “I think there’s a baby in there.”

  • We are celebrating that because of the cross we have the unwavering favor of God. Because of the cross we are pursued daily by God’s perfect love, we are offered forgiveness and freedom, and we are equipped with the hope of the Holy Spirit. Thank you, Jesus!

  • Things I’ve learned from breaking my tailbone >>

1. It is possible to wear only 4 outfits in 2 weeks.

2. God is more concerned with developing character and deep roots than about our physical comfort.

3. My children don’t love to see me bedridden, but they love that they have been able to eat nuggets, pizza, and fries for 2 weeks.

4. When you can’t sleep because of pain or wild imagination that is not helpful, put on worship music.

5. A good prayer to pray, “Show me the depth of my need for You and shatter my self-sufficiency. Change my mindset so that prayer becomes my first response in every situation. May I seek You in all things. Help me to put all my hope in You...”

6. Hold on to a sense of humor. Or find someone to get you laughing. Even though it will hurt to laugh. You need to not take it all so seriously!

7. God’s people are so precious. People showed up on our doorstep with lasagnas, flowers, sandwiches, Uber Eats gift cards, and one dear soul even sent her cleaning ladies to our house to undo the damage of mama being down for days on end. Whenever I was tempted to despair, someone would text or bring by some freshly cut fruit. The message here is don’t ask, just do > because every act of kindness reminded me of Who is in charge.

8. When hard times come, lean into gratitude instead of fussiness and resistance. Thank your husband for carrying everything while you’re down, thank your community for carrying you to Jesus, thank the Lord for being present in all circumstances with a plan for your good and His glory. There is a reason God tells us in the Bible to do all things without complaining or disputing-so that you. will. shine. It’s not easy, but the reward is GREAT. I want the world to see Jesus shining in me in my adversity. Doesn’t mean you can’t cry and admit that what you are facing is so very difficult, but this can be done with a surrendered heart. This is the new assignment. Accept it, receive it as something that is from a loving Father. Look for the provisions along the way. You will go from strength to strength. Move forward with hope. He’s got you!

Seems silly to pray about an overcooked cake, but I believe God is honored in these small acts of faith. Believing in the impossible was something God asked Mary to do, so why not trust Him to do the impossible here, too?

What impossible thing can we bring to Him in prayer today? He loves to hear from us. He loves to delight and surprise us when we choose to believe He is good and powerful and kind. ✨When we wake up, it will be Christmas!✨

I felt the Holy Spirit nudging me to bake a cake for a family very dear to us. I went to the store, bought the ingredients, and carefully followed the recipe. The recipe said multiple times not to overcook the cake because it will very easily become dry. So I watched the oven diligently. But when I pulled the cake out, I could tell it had baked a little too long.

God called me to bake this cake for this family. It wasn’t time to quit, but it wasn’t time to make another cake! So instead of getting discouraged, I chose to pray about it. I asked the Lord to take my offering and make much of it. If He can multiply the loaves and fish, He can moisten up a cake!

Precisely one day after delivering the cake, we received a text stating what I thought was impossible. The cake was good! Delicious even!

He is no magic genie, but I think when our desires align with His heart, when obedience is the priority, and we are fully surrendered come what may, we can trust He will do a good thing.

Highlights from our week in Georgia visiting my parents… 🧡Seeing my parents. 😍 🤎Reuniting with my older brother and his family who we haven’t seen in 5 years! 🫶🏻 🦃Getting to stay in my parent’s new house. Home is where your mom is. 🤗 🧡Having a bird fly into the house after we got home from dinner on Wednesday night and watching my parents trap it in the bathroom and then go in their with tennis rackets and a trashcan to see if they could get it to fly out the window. Prime entertainment. 🐦‍⬛ 🤎Seeing how happy the boys were to be with their grandparents again. 🤩 🦃Weather that doesn’t make my hair frizz! 🙌🏻 🧡Seeing my parents. 🥹 It was a really great Thanksgiving!
