I was so inspired by yesterday’s Earth Day post that the Happy Buddy and I decided to make a little something of our own to celebrate.
Let me introduce you to Earth Guy!
You can totally make one of your own – it’s so easy.
What you need:
Construction Paper (I used colored card stock) in blue, green, black, white, and red
Glue
Scissors
Step 1 – Cut a large circle from the blue construction paper.
Step 2 – Cut out small ‘land’ pieces from the green paper.
Step 3 – Glue the green pieces to the blue circle.
*Yes, we’re still rockin’ our Christmas pajamas.*
Step 4 – Cut out arms and legs from the blue paper as well as some hands/feet and thin strips from the green paper.
Step 5 – Glue the hands and feet to the ends of the arms and legs. Glue the thin strips on to the arms.
*After this step the Happy Buddy informed me that he was ‘all done with this craft’ and raced off to more important things like cars and trains.*
Step 6 – I grabbed some tape and just taped everything to the back of the Earth Guy.
Step 7 – Cut some white and black circles, glue together, and add to your Earth Guy.
Step 8 – Cut a red mouth and glue.
Hang him on your fridge for some Earth Day cheer.
Happy Earth Guy-ing! 🙂
Julie, it’s ok, my granddaughter is still sporting her Halloween jammies!!! They still fit, so why not?!?
So cute! I’m definitely going to try this with Poppet today.
I adapted this to do an Earth Girl with my daughter. I also turned it into a bit of a Bible study with the creation story. Thanks for the idea!
