Check out these lyrics from one of my favorite Hillsong worship tunes…
At the cross I bow my knee
Where Your blood was shed for me
There’s no greater love than this
You have overcome the grave
Glory fills the highest place
What can separate me now?
You tore the veil
You made a way
When You said that it is done…
A lot happened that day on the cross.
As a way to celebrate and remember all that Christ did for us, let’s look to the cross for our inspiration as we begin the Easter season.
Here are some of my favorite Cross Crafts…
The Happy Buddy and I just made this one for our front window.
Whenever the Happy Buddy walks into the room with our stained glass window cross, he gets all wide-eyed and exclaims, “Oooohhhhhhh!” in an awed voice.
I followed the super easy tutorial from THIS SITE.
Then the Happy Buddy and I wanted to come up with a project using all the leftover Froot Loops from our St. Patrick’s Day Froot Loop rainbow, so we made this…
I thought it turned out pretty sweet.
This simple Paper Plate Cross Silhouette Craft found HERE is amazing.
You can access a template for this craft HERE.
I am loving these Bejeweled Crosses the I found over at Kaboose.
These Melted Crayon Cross SunCatchers are really pretty hanging in Housing A Forest’s Happy Home.
This Easy Cross Craft has only 3 supplies.
Check out these Bead and Clay Crosses from That Artist Woman.
A little string, a handful of Pony Beads, and voila! Check out Catholic Icing’s tutorial on How to Bead a Cross.
If you have paper, masking tape and watercolors you can make these awesome Cross Paintings from Happy Home Fairy.
Now let’s head into the kitchen…
Almost Unschoolers made easy peasy Pretzel Crosses.
You could also bake a Cross-Shaped Cake. All you need is a rectangular pan.
Simply cut the cake following the picture below and then decorate with frosting and Easter candy.

Here is a fun example of a cross cake. Love that it has Peeps on it!

Does your family do Resurrection Eggs for Easter? I have used them with my 2/3s & 3/4s Sunday School classes as well as with my two toddlers. Last year, I had my 20+ class of 3/4 year olds each make a set of Resurrection Eggs for their family. I wouldn’t recommend that – it was pretty much a HUGE project, but they ARE worth checking out. We will start using them with our boys April 1 along with our evening Bible story. It’s really not too difficult to make your own set if you don’t have them. I will do a post about it on my oft-neglected blog if I get a chance…

I’m glad you all enjoyed the paper cross craft! I’ve in the meantime created 2 cross coloring pages to color in. One has a three dimension feel to it, the other a stained glass cross to color in. Enjoy and be blessed!

Hi! I was so excited to find your crafts for easter. I work at a catholic school and it is always difficult to find crafts that really relate to easter. I was so happy to be able to use these with the children at my after school care. We did the stained glass looking cross this year. But next year I really want to give the paper plate cross silhouette a go. Here is a link to where I gave you a shout out about finding the cross on your page anyway 🙂

For the paper plate and black construction paper used for the three crosses, I am asking where is the template for the crosses??
Lesa Williams
When you click on the link is says that the page is not found. I’d like the cross Silhouette Craft template too.
Happy Home Fairy
It should be all fixed, Lesa! I am sorry about that!

Hi! I found your blog through pinterest. I used your paper plate cross craft as inspiration for an easter craft I did today with my two oldest boys. I added a link to your blog on my blog adventuresofallergymom.blogspot.com.
