I can’t even believe that today is the beginning of the Lenten season! 40 days to prepare our hearts for the risen King! The One who took all of our sins, redeemed our lives, and ushered us into the hope of glory!
Man! Doesn’t that get you excited?
I was praying recently for a way to celebrate this season with my kids, as well as educate them about Jesus, and the Lord dropped an idea into my lap.
Study HIS words – 1 verse per day – leading up to Easter Sunday.
As I made these little cards, I felt so encouraged and inspired writing out the very words of Christ as He lived and did ministry here on earth over 2,000 years ago. I pray that every day you will not just read a card and move along, but that these verses will be springboards for fruitful conversations with your families about Jesus! Food for your souls!
Because, as Day 2 reads, “People do not live by bread alone, but by EVERY WORD that comes from the mouth of God!” (Matthew 4:4)
So dwell on Christ! Soak up His words – He shared these messages with YOU in mind.
May they be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path as we anticipate the empty tomb and the glorious resurrection of our King.

One of the last things Jesus said before ascending to heaven after His resurrection was, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations…” Would you mind sharing this post with the people in your world, so that we can get a lot of families all over the world spending time with/growing in Jesus this Easter season?
God bless you!
I will be praying for you all as we cling to the very words of Christ!
*Note – I used several different versions of the Bible for this printable in an effort to keep it simple and kid-friendly. The NIV, NLT, NIRV, and ICB translations are featured here!

These are so special and precious! A blessing to all of us. Thank you for your generous heart and how you show your love for the Lord. Blessings to you and yours.
Enjoying your site! Thank you for these verses and fun ways to keep Christ in Easter! I lead a Moms Alive group and my church and will share with them your site and the verse cards they can use this month! Thanks
Julie – thank you ! I’ve used your Christmas Advent verses for the last few years, and my kids love having something to open everyday (and I love that it’s meaningful). I loved this idea for Easter instantly! We decided to put the verses in plastic easter eggs. We wrote the number on the outside of each egg in sharpie, and placed them in empty egg cartons. I love how easy this makes it to be reading and engaging in scripture with my kids, for 40 whole days! You’re amazing.

Crystal, what a blessing! Thank you for this gracious comment. I am so thankful to be a part of your Easter season in this little way!
My daughter JUST said this morning, “Remember our Christmas verses?” Checked today to look for Easter ones on your blog and I’m sooo thrilled they are here!! Thank you thank you!!

Chrissy! Thank you so so much for sharing this comment with me today! What a privilege and joy it is to be able to serve your sweet family in this small way!! God bless you!
Your advent verses were perfect at Christmas time – they even fitted in the pockets of our advent calendar, yay – so I was so pleased to find these when looking for Lent ones. I immediately printed them off (last minute as usual), and it was only afterwards I realised that I had forgotten to even read them! I just saw the style and knew they would be perfect! Thanks Julie.
Julie – I love these! May I share the link to this post to share on my blog? What a tangible way to plant the Word in our little ones hearts!

Wow! That would be great!
Posted on my blog a few days ago! https://asurrenderedlife.com/family/easter-resources/
These are wonderful – thank you for making them available for free. I would like to share them with our church families, especially during COVID, while families need activities to do that don’t necessarily involve screen-time!
