When the Happy Hubby and I got married, I was super excited that I got a sleigh-full of new family members! He has a brother and a sister (who each have a bunch of kids) and all manner of relatives living nearby, and I have two brothers and my parents here in town, too, so every Christmas is a wonderful celebration with loved ones!
One thing I like to do as a part of our Christmas gifts for each family is to make an annual homemade felt ornament.
I simply grab some thick felt, my trusty hot glue gun, an incredible pair of scissors, some cute embellishments (meaning lots and LOTs of glitter), and I get to work on our living room floor!
I thought I would share with all my Happy Home Friends some of the creations I have made in the past…

The Christmas Stocking of 2006
I was inspired to create a sheep that Christmas because I had just finished reading a life-changing book for me called A Shepherd’s Look at Psalm 23. And I just love sheep! 🙂
I wish I had thought to put the date on the other ornaments instead of the family’s name, but, oh well! I think from now on I’ll stick with the date so that we can keep track of each year’s magic!
There they are! I am still undecided about this year’s ornament. Haha! I am so behind! I just can’t tear myself away from blogging! 🙂 I’ll bet that the arts and crafts store won’t even have any felt left in stock for me to use! Time to get creative! I’d love suggestions!
Happy Homemade Felt Ornament-ing! 🙂

Julie…how bout a STAR…just like you! You always let your light shine…that’s what I so love about you! BTW to refresh your memory I met you at the last Embrace Gathering, then you spoke for our Crossway Ornament Exchange! Loved it…I bought lots of your goodies to send to our 3 little granddaughters! I was the one that also taught school in Broward Co. I sent you a FB friend request, if you’d like to connect sometime! Continue to let your light shine and be blessed as you do! Love you!
