A magnificent symbol of all that Jesus accomplished on our behalf.
On that cross sin was broken, death became no more, freedom was found, we’ve been released from fear, and an eternity in His presence was gifted to us!
Easter is a beautiful time to ponder these things (as is everyday for that matter! :-)), so the Happy Buddy and I did a super neat Cross Craft (with inspiration from HERE).
Masking Tape
Watercolor Paints
Directions:Cut two pieces of masking tape to form a cross and lay down on top of the sheet of cardstock.Let your Happy Buddy paint the page!
Be careful not to use too much water (we learned this the hard way!) and make sure to paint over the entire areas surrounding the masking tape.Once done painting, set the pages aside to dry.
Then SLOWLY peel away the masking tape.
A beautiful white cross is revealed!
Simple. Lovely. Meaningful.
““He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” 1 Peter 2:24
Happy Cross Craft-ing! 🙂

I really like this idea; I am a Sunday School teacher of 1st – 4th graders and this would be a great project, not just at Easter, but any time of the year. I will be adding it to my Pinterest page for sure! Thanks Julie!

We made these today too! Our lines weren’t as crisp, probably too much water. Thanks for sharing!

Totally did this with my girls and they loved it! Thanks for always having such great ideas. Your site is definitely my first look when compiling ideas.
