Root-ing for Dad!

I was given the task of coming up with a fun little favor to give to the 250+ dads at our church for Father’s Day.

I had to find something that was inexpensive, easy to put together, and man-ish.

When I think of a dad, root beer comes to mind, so when I saw this brilliant FREE Printable tag from Nothing But Country –

I immediately hit the grocery store and ordered 42 6-packs of A&W Root Beer.

After visiting the Happy Baby at the hospital, I headed to the church where I was met by a small army of tweens and teens who helped me tag them all.

It must be said – staring at a table of 250 Root Beers is kind of inspiring.

I started to wonder if there were other Root Beer-themed Ideas out there that might bring about something awesome for you to do for your Root-Beer-Loving-Dad.

This year for Father’s Day, Family Ever After blog gathered up a ‘stache’ of root beer samples.

The Girl Who Ate Everything has a delish-looking recipe for Root Beer Pulled Pork that your hubs will wolf down upon returning home from a morning at church.

The Happy Hubby looooves him some pulled pork (when we were dating in college we used to go to Smokey Bones every date night for their pulled pork!) so these simple sandwiches would be perfect.
