Just a few hours left of 2010!
We will be heading over to the Happy Hubby’s brother’s house tonight for our New Year’s fun! It’s always super fun celebrating with loved ones – especially because there are like 8 little cousins for the Happy Buddy to play with!
Although I’m pretty sure the Happy Buddy isn’t going to make it past 8 pm! 🙂
I am bringing Pigs in a Blanket to the party as requested by the Happy Hubby!
Super easy and super yummy! Just grab a package of Lil’Smokies and a couple of tubes of Pillsbury Grands Flaky Buttermilk Biscuits. Pull the biscuits from the tube and then separate each biscuit in half – so that you now have two biscuit circles instead of one. Place a Lil’ Smokie in the center of each biscuit. Wrap the biscuit around the Lil’ Smokie and pinch it closed – nice and tight! Then bake at 375 degrees until golden brown. Yum!
I am also going to bring this cute Countdown Ball Drop New Year’s Craft for all of the nieces and nephews to enjoy!
Simply print out the images below, color, glitter (duh beans!), cut out, and attach the pieces together for one really cute Countdown Ball Drop New Year’s Decoration!
I used glue and glitter to decorate the ball on my craft with a zig-zaggy design, but I was thinking you could write 2011 with glue and then glitter that for some really authentic pizazz! 🙂
Have fun!
Amanda
What a great way to add an educational component to the holiday! I love activities that teach our children numbers visually and not just orally. Shared a link back to this post with our readers here http://theeducatorsspinonit.blogspot.com/2011/12/afterschool-express-happy-new-year.html.
