This year I am Room Mom for Jethro’s class.
It’s a role I have avoided for the last several years because (for me) being a full-time teacher and also being Room Mom is a recipe for being put in an institution. π Β #knowyourlimits
But this year I felt the Lord calling me to do it! Β And it couldn’t be an easier gig because I absolutely adore Jet’s teachers and love finding ways to bless them!
For their Christmas gifts I thought it would be fun to present these hard-working ladies with a pair of money trees.
Because let’s be honest – moneyΒ is REALLY what the teachers want.
Money trees are very simple to make once you have your supplies ready.
Here’s what I did…
Supplies:
- Money (I did $50 for each teacher’s tree. Β I had (2) $10, (4) $5, and (10) $1.
- Small fake Christmas trees (I got mine at Target).
- Pipe cleaners, cut into 2-inch pieces.
- Tree skirt and/or small ornaments (also from Target).
How to:
- Fold bill in half.
- Fold bill accordion-style.
- Pinch center.
- Wrap small piece of pipe cleaner around center of bill.
- Attach bill to tree branch using end of pipe cleaner.
- Repeat as many times as necessary!
- Add decorations.
I put a star on top of our trees with theΒ teachers’ faces.
Now how’s that for a gift that keeps on giving?? π
What do you think? Β Such a great gift idea for tweens, teens, teachers, friends, etc.! Β No one will want to return it! {BOOM}
Joyfully,
Julie
