And hello pants that for some reason I thought I could fit into even though I just had a baby 6 weeks ago.
Hello running home quickly to put on a pair of sweats.Hello hug from his daddy.Hello being told by his dad that he had never been more proud of his son than at that very moment.Hello Happy Baby who is off of respiratory support.
🙂
*Update – The other day I walked into the Happy Baby’s hospital room and the nurse said, “Do you notice anything different about your son?” And suddenly I realized that I could see my sweet baby’s entire face without a million tubes or wires or tapes or Superhero Hats.
I wept.
He’s been doing great ever since, making a little bit of progress each day.
God answered our prayers for his Swallow Test (praise Him!), so now we are working hard at learning to take a bottle and have even nursed a few times (happiness).
But he is still breathing rather rapidly, which causes him to tire quickly, which makes it difficult for him to get through an entire feed, which then means a nurse has to put the rest of his milk through the feeding tube.
We are asking the Lord to continue increasing the Happy Baby’s strength so that we can get out of here without a G-tube (a surgically implanted tube that delivers food into a baby’s stomach).
We are also still waiting on some test results that will help a final diagnosis.
Your continued prayers and encouragement have been the bright spot in my days!
Hello Psalm 27:14 – “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

Congratulations to your entire family on such a huge accomplishment! My son’s name is derived from Psalm 27;14 his name is Waightstill (we call him Waits). It’s a family name that is an old English spelling but the history of the name is “Wait still on the Lord, be of good courage and he will strenghthen your heart. Waits is 11 and has Epilepsy and we have been “waiting” on seizure freedom for years and God has been faithful. Your baby is precious and God IS faithful, I pray your “wait” is breif.
Rebecca
PTL right along with you!!!!
