I love books. I could read anytime and anywhere! I even read books while running on the treadmill! Here’s a list of some of my favorites…
Books to Read for Fun –
1. ANYTHING by Francine Rivers (This gal KNOWS how to write)
2. The Mitford Series by Jan Karon (I want Father Tim to be my BFF)
Books to Read for Fun for Kids –
1. Clementine by Sara Pennypacker (Hilarious)
2. Everything on Top of a Waffle by Polly Horvath (Totally amazing)
3. The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo (Brilliant)
4. Anything by Kevin Henkes – Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse, etc. (Soooooo funny)
Books to Read for Parenting –
1. Secrets of a Baby Whisperer by Tracy Hogg (My husband laughs at me whenever I am reading it, but it was THE most helpful book during those roller-coaster first few months of being a mommy)
2. Shepherding a Child’s Heart by Tedd Tripp (Hands down the most Biblical and solid book on parenting/discipline/loving your child I’ve ever read!)
3. Growing Grateful Kids by Susie Larson (I am reading this RIGHT NOW and CAN’T PUT IT DOWN!!! It’s amazing! Speaks right to my Mommy Heart and the author makes me giggle)
Books to Read for Marriage –
1. Romancing Your Husband by Debra White Smith (This book changed the way I love and serve Ryan! I reread it regularly!!)
2. The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman (This book changed the way Ryan and I communicate. Whenever we hit a bump in our marriage, we always realize it boils down to our love languages not being met. We LOVED it!)
Books that Changed My Life –
1. Becoming the Woman I Want to Be by Donna Partow (Helped me find good balance physically and spiritually)
2. A Shepherd’s Look at Psalm 23 by Phillip Keller
3. The Bible 🙂
I would be remiss not to also include Noah’s favorite books…
1. Anything by Sandra Boynton (Apparently these ones taste the best)
2. The Little Scholastic Books (Shapes, Colors, Numbers, Alphabet, etc.) These books have GLITTER in them!!! They are soooooo much fun to look at!!
I am also equally obsessed with magazines. My friends often refer to me as a magazine junkie. I subscribe to so many magazines it’s ridiculous. Southern Living, Family Fun, Parents, Paula Deen, Family Circle, Woman’s Day… I love magazines but I also love the THRILL of getting a magazine in my MAILBOX! Isn’t it the most magical thing to open your mailbox and find something that’s NOT a bill? 🙂
Anyway, I love to read.

LOL! I’m right there with you Julie on the magazines. Mikie gives me a hard time about my magazines, but aren’t they wonderful! I get excited when I see one peeking out through all the mail in my mailbox too! My oldest magazine is from 1990 (I think)! Can’t seem to let them go.
