Every year I have the awesome privilege of speaking for a local church’s Christmas Ornament Exchange.
It is one of my favorite things to do at Christmas.
125 ladies gathered to fellowship, laugh, eat delicious food, and enjoy a time of silliness (that’s my contribution to the evening) and learning (there is always a great teacher who shares an inspiring message).
Last year I posted my amazing Christmas Paper Plate Game that ended up going crazy viral on Pinterest.
This year I had to think of another game that would be just as fun.
Drum roll please… Name That Holiday Tune.
This was just too funny.
I would read a ridiculous clue making vague reference to a well-known Christmas carol.
(For example… The event occurred at one minute after 11:59 pm with visibility unlimited.)
Then, whoever knew which carol I was talking about had to LEAP out of their chair and sing it at the top of their lungs.
(Did you figure out the answer to the trivia? It Came Upon a Midnight Clear…) 🙂
The first person to do so got a prize.
I gave out really fabulous prizes like fun Santa straws and cute Christmas cupcake liners.
I think the girls had a good time!
I was amazed at how well these women knew their holiday tunes!
Not to mention we discovered some pretty great raw talent.
This is the perfect game to play around the dinner table with your Happy Home this year – or why not even quiz your Happy Hubby while snuggling in bed one night this month? (I did to mine and he LOVED it! He thought the clues were so funny and clever.) 🙂
