A Christian Pumpkin Windsock Craft – FREE Printable!

I’m always looking for ways to redeem Halloween.

Jack-O-Lanterns have an unfortunate back story, but we serve a God who is in the business of bringing to light what the enemy likes to keep in darkness.

So when I saw this cute idea on Pinterest, I couldn’t resist making my own version to celebrate fall AND the Good News at the same time. 🙂Supplies:

2 thick paper plates (got mine at Target)

Orange paint

Yellow, brown, and green construction paper

Orange, yellow, and green crepe paper

Paintbrush

Tape

Stapler and a small piece of ribbon (not shown)

Step 1 – Paint the paper plates orange.

Step 2 – Cut out 2 cross eyes, a nose, and mouth from the yellow paper.  Cut out a brown stem and green leaf.

Step 3 – Attach the pieces to the front and top of the plate using the tape (or you can use glue!).

Step 4 – Add several pieces of streamer to the bottom of the plate and then bring the two plates together with several staples.

Step 5 – Print the FREE Printable poem HERE.

Step 6 – Cut out and stick on the back of the pumpkin plates.

Step 7 – Add a small piece of ribbon to the top and hang!
