Teachers went back to school this week and it has been completely craaaazaaay.
First of all, I need to tell y’all some news! I am NOT teaching my sweet little 2-year-olds this year! Through a wonderful series of events, the Lord dropped a new position at our preschool into my lap.
I am now the Preschool Administrative Assistant! I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I am about this job! I absolutely love to bless and serve families and this new role gives me many more opportunities to do that. On top of caring for the preschool wing, I will also have several other responsibilities that will keep me very busy and still occasionally in the classroom – which obviously is very dear to me! I will be the PK2 and PK3 library teacher as well as coordinator for a monthly chapel service.
So don’t worry! I will still have lots of fun ideas to share with you here! 🙂
Like today! I wanted to do a little something for our preschool teachers every day during our teacher work week. Because I had to buy multiple gifts, I had to make sure that the items were under $1.50 each.
Sounds impossible, but would you believe I DID IT?! WOOTWOOT!
Check out what my girls are receiving as they prepare to welcome back all of our precious students…
I found these orange candles at IKEA for $1.50. They smell UH-MAZING. If you don’t have an IKEA near you, just pair this FREE Printable tag with an actual orange fruit or mandarin.

I found a pack of 8 bags of popcorn for about $4. Such a healthy, easy snack!

I wanted to give each teacher a big bag of coffee grounds, but those ran about $5+ per bag. I found these individual serving-size instant coffee packs at Target. They were $4.99 for a box of 8.

These hand lotions were only $1.50 each – and I just love everything the eOs brand makes.

And finally, every teacher needs a little chocolate to get them through the first week back!

I have been sneaking these goodies onto each teacher’s desk each morning. It’s fun playing the magical preschool hallway fairy!
I will be back soon with some more Back to School posts for you!
Joyfully,
Julie 🙂

Do you have any suggestions for VBS teachers? I need to give my teachers a gift.
