The Light of the World

2 Dec

There’s this house on our street that goes bananas with their Christmas lights every year.

They do the whole program-your-lights-to-blink-in-beat-to-a-Christmas-carol thing.

The Happy Buddy LOVES it.

He calls it The Crazy Christmas Light House.

We have been talking about and anticipating these lights all year long!

So here is a post to celebrate those glorious strands! :-)

Holy cow this is the SMARTEST idea EVER!

Hungry Happenings shows you how to make tiny, Edible Christmas Lights with just 2 ingredients.  Absolute brilliance!

These would be fun to add to a gingerbread house if you are making one this year.

Now, if these crafts are not enough and you’re all about the real deal, then plan to kidnap your Happy Buddies one evening to go for a drive to see the decorated homes in your area.

Or print out this FREE Printable Best Decorated House Certificate and decide as a Happy Home who deserves the award!

However you decide to enjoy the twinkly things, remind your Happy Buddies that the reason we celebrate Christmastime with lights is that Jesus came to earth as the LIGHT of the WORLD.

“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12

Because of this great gift, we can now shine His light in a dark world. :-)

“Let your light shine before others…” Matthew 5:16

Happy Christmas Light-ing! :-)

Love all your links and cannot wait to try those edible Christmas Tree lights! One problem, can you fix the link for the Christmas House Scavenger Hunt – we love scavenger hunts in this house and that is such a great idea!! Thanks!

I love the scavenger hunt printable! But I couldn’t get to it by clicking on the “Here”. It took me to the Best Decorated House Certificate instead. I have really enjoyed all your printables. I discovered your blog last Easter and have enjoyed so many of your ideas and actually incorporated them into our little happy family! If you correct the link to the scavenger hunt printable, I will definitely do it with my little ones this year! Merry Christmas!
